gyno surgery
I am scheduled to get gyno surgery in the near future. My case has been typically mild until more recently and I just want to get it removed. My surgeon is top of the line and has been cited in several cosmetic magazines. Two questions though: how much training time in the gym will i miss? also, how likely is it that gyno will reoccur. My operation consists of cutting out the glandular tissue. Here are two pics showing a little of my gyno.

Once gland is removed gyno will never come back. Bump for out time.

The gyno is hard to see because my nips are hard at the time...when im warm, and more relaxed, it's more noticable...or if i wear a t shirt tight against my chest, it is visible. I natuarlly had some gyno when i was younger...from what i understand..many people get it from puberty. However, aas have definately caused it to grow. Insurance is covering it, so i might as well get it done.

In the first pic, you can see the circle around my nip..that is the gyno.

I see and I know how it can look much different when hard because I have had gyno since puberty also. This is why I am interested in the after pics as I am really scared to get surgery (Ive seen pics of dudes who nipples are like 3 inches apart after surgery.) I have also been curious as to how much time off I would have to take if I got it and often wondered if it would be best to take some form of juice to prevent muscle loss and speed up recovery?

You cant take good gyno pics while flexing. Can you even tell you have gyno, or is it the pain that is giving it away?
As far as time off, I would say wait for about 2 months, then slowly start reintroducing yourself into the gym. You will be able to feel your "wounds" and tell if you should be excersising or not. You def. wont want to go to the gym for at least the first month while wearing the compression vest. But when it is all said and done with you will feel like a new person after a couple months out of surgery. It feels great to have that stuff gone.
As far as reoccurance of gyno.........I personally took off for a couple years after I had my surgery. I had most of the gland removed. When I went back on, I felt gyno-like symptoms in the little bit of remaining gland left over, but it went away after I went off. Note that in the first cycle I was using arimidex . My NEXT cycle I used letro, and couldn't even tell any symptoms.
So I think it is fairly safe to say that it shouldn't come back. If you are getting a partial gland removal the advantages are you have a better chance of not getting concave nipples and your chest looking ****ed up after you heal. The downside is that YES there is a chance of remission.
From what I have read, members that got the whole gland removed have not experienced gyno again. Check with you doc to find out for sure if it is a partial or whole gland removal.
Hope that answered some questions. Good Luck!

make sure your insurance will cover it 100%. usually gyno surgery is considered cosmetic & selective, not medically necessary,so Ins wont cover it. I recently went for a consult with one the top docs in my area. you will be on the shelf for a month.need to wear a compression vest as well...from the pics you have a great physique & its hard to see any gyno...but you know best..have you gotten pricing(even though its covered) & references from your doc of other gyno surgery patients? keep us posted & pics along the way. good luck man

Part of the gyno surgery process is of course cutting the gland out, but also lipo to even the chest out. Insurance companies will never cover lipo. But I don't know........

Damn dude, I barely see it but I kinda see what your talking about. How much does it cost? And do you regret not using letro all the time? I havent cycled yet but this gyno shit scares the piss out of me!!! So i think im goign to run letro instead of armidex.

Honostly I would try something like lipo dissolve before I would get gyno surgery. Lipo dissolve is cheaper with no recovery time. Plus with very little fat in your chest like you have, you would be a good canidate.

What's the cost? I get minimal gyno in my left tit. It goes up and down. I usually only use nolva but I should probably use some letro on occasion when it flares up.

I've tried using arimidex and nolv to combat some gyno symptoms, however, most of the gyno i have came from the first few cycles that I did in which I was naive to any sides or how to take the proper precautions when using aas. And all of you have experienced gyno knows that once you've got it, you've got it. There's really no way to get rid of it other than surgery. I plan to run letro from now on with my future cycles.

You can hardly see it, I would say your case is still mild. But if you look closer, you can actually just see the outline around your nipple. Either way, you look great. Keep up the great work and all the best woth your surgery.

It's more noticeable at different times. I figured I'd might as well get rid of it now. It bothers me...and all of you that work hard to keep in shape knows that it's all about personal perception. Doesn't matter what other people think..just matters if you're happy.

Gyno can come back.
They cant remove all of the gland because if they did then you would lose the nipple.
They remove the majority of the gland - something like 95% of it.
But yes, it can come back.
Good luck with the surgery.

My claim to the insurance company was legitamate. My career involves wearing a combat vest through a lot of training. The vest straps across the front and can cause irritation to lumps under my nips. I went to the doc and explained this. SOmetimes, my nips get really sore. The claim was approved. The irritation is caused by the glandular growth. To stop the pain, my doc wanted to remove the gland. He referred me to a plastic surgeon who was experienced with the type of surgery.

Good Luck I had my gyno surgery 6 months ago and wish i would have done it sooner. You will recover sooner than they tell you and love the results more than you know.

I had my sugery about 1.5 yrs ago. down time only a couple of weeks, and maybe a little light on chest days for a couple more. It was not too bad, and worth every penny.

My time out was about 4 weeks off lifting. 2 weeks till I started doing cardio. This was for a mild-moderate case. The doctor did a fantastic job and the scarring is barely noticable, even on my alabaster skin
.
Don't be too concerned with taking that amount of time off. Significant muscle loss wont occur for quite awhile in most individuals. Also the more motivated you'll be once you get back into the gym. It'll take a year to see how well the gyno surgery turned out.

I went to see a dr and she told me that mine can be removed with lipo and I don't need to make the incision. Anyone else have theirs sucked out without going under the knife? Just curious how lipo can suck out that big lump under my chest without breaking it up first.
