heating it in an oven can damage the hormone. if you dont trust the gear I'd pitch it. if your hell bent on usuing it I'd add a little ba (1%) and re-filter. take a 1/2 cc in the glute. good luck

for the last time, you cannot get it hot enough to kill everything. ever hear of heat-resistant endospores? thermophilic organisms?
heating gear does nothing except kill your gear, waste your time, and run up your light/gas bill...
