    After injecting begin coughing uncontrollably

I am currently on a Test E cycle 500mg per week. Usually injecting once per week. The last time I injected (hip) after I was thru I felt a tightness in my chest and began coughing uncontrollably for 2 or 3 minutes then it stopped. The injection prior to this one, this incident didnt happen. But the one prior to that it did. Anyone ever heard of that?

Sure have, it means some juice got into a vein and went to your lungs. The bodies natural reaction is to cough uncontrollably to get the juice out of there. Did you asperate ?

I'd willing to bet money that aspiration was not done prior to injecting.

Aspirate. It doesnt take much to poke through the wall of a vein. I know the feeling of that cough. it was never ending.

This could have killed you! No kidding! It's never too late to learn to aspirate - so don't hesitate or you may meet a mortal fate and be boxed away in a crate....love don't hate! That's my rap

Yes a little got into a vein...A lot of us have been there before....It takes more then you think injecting into a vein to kill you....Look at you heroine addicts, they inject Intravenous.

Just insert the needle fully into your site and then pull back on the plunger which creates a vacuum inside. This will cause any blood near the needle to be drawn into the barrell. If you have nicked a vein nearby or are inside one, the blood will rush in and then you know youll have to restick yourself. You can resuse the same needle, just be sure it touches nothing and that you do it ASAP. Reuse of needle in this case only, since its not being left out in the air very long and bacteria cant build up on it that fast.

I never have aspirated and never had a problem, but I am very careful, take my time and real familiar with my anatomy. There is some risistance in the needle if you are trying to poke through a vein. Pull out and try somewhere else. Also, if you inject real slowly you will get the cough before you finish and you can stop. Obviously the best thing is to aspirate, but I never liked teh awkward finger positioning and extra needle movement you get with aspiration. But that is just me.

Sounds like you went in a vein, not that big of a deal.

A lot of people aspirate incorrectly.

After your pierce the skin, the best way aspirate is to flick the syringe at the top - and not pull back on it. (this is how nurses do it if you watch). If you pull back on the syringe and your in a vein, you will collapse the vein not allowing any blood to come through. This gives the impression that you are not in a vein, however you could be.

The trick is to pull back gently. If you're in a vien, there will be no resistance, and blood will rush in.

Are you saying flick the plunger?
