Anyone ever fail a drug test trying to get a job??

I'm curious if US companies include AS in their drug screening. I may be changing companies in the next year and I am finding that it takes up to 18 months to get rid of this stuff. yikes.

I wouldn't want to bank on the cleansing techniques...

Most don't test for AAS, it's too expensive, it's like $300-$400 per person.

yeah I've seen some info on how long each gear stays in your system. I'm hoping that most large companies don't test for AS due to cost. I guess its a gamble at this point...

it's very rare the a company or job is gonna test for AS their more concerned if your gonna be high as hell and all messed up and overall costing the company money cause your efficency will go down, or you become a hazard to your coworker what kind of job is it?

Most will not test for AAS. Especially for pre-employment screening. Like mentioned they are 5 panel, 9 or 10 panel drug tests. Google "10 panel drug test" and it will tell what it is tested for.

I did a pre employment drug test once while running Test and DBols no sweat.

Now let's say you've been at the job for a while and are always late, an asshole or something and you look like the Hulk and are always raging, then they may do some random testing just to get you out of there. But even that is a long long shot.

Seriously, do a search for 10 panel drug tests, nothing to worry about if it's a normal job. No worries bro.

Like your title says anyone fail a pre-employment drug screen. How many 'yes's' have you gotten?

I have to agree that the chances of getting a pre-employment or random drug test for AAS is highly unlikely; BUT, prices have substantially dropped on hair tests in the past few years. Hair testing is now only approximately 15%-20% more expensive that urine and urine detection period is days compared to several months with hair testing. Many companies, including the Federal Government, are switching to hair tests for per-employment as they give a better picture of drug use. Additional fees are offset by insurance breaks because the hair test weeds out a much higher percentage of users.

Also, requesting additional substances be tested for from a hair sample is not THAT expensive. With the prices dropping and more companies using hair testing its not going to be long before additional compounds (possibly AAS) become part of the “usual” test.

Not anymore. You can get a single comprehensive steroid /performance enhancing test (like for an athlete) for under $150 from a federally certified lab. I’m sure for a school, college, or other business the rate would be even less for qty.

Great info bros. I will google it!

This would be a pre-employment test for an engineering job in the auto industry.

I think my current employer does the hair test, it supposedly goes back much further and more accurate. I'm assuming it costs extra to test for AAS. I'll look into it.

    Thanks.

Companies don't test for AS unless your into sports where there is random testing for AS. When drug testing is done, they have to tell them what drugs they want to test for. Even AS has to be specified such as the different kinds of AS. Besides, regular companies, such as non sports, drug testing and pre employment testing doesn't test for AS. It is very expensive also.

They can and do use body hair. They can also use fingernail clippings.

    well said GH.

99% of ALL random drug testing in the US is a standard NIDA five panel test. This applies to the US Government also. Some military and security sensitive positions with the government may vary.

The standard NIDA five panel is looking for Canaboloids, Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Cocaine, LSD, and a breath test for alcohol if it is a DOT test. Thats it. Period.

This 99% rule of thumb also applies to pre employment tests. Most US companies drug abatement policies all pretty much read the same for legalities. There are typically three types of tests done; pre employment, random, and reasonable suspicion. Unless there is a "reasonable suspicion" that you should be checked for something that is not on the NIDA five panel, there is no concern. If you are being hauled in under a reasonable suspicion, nine times out of ten, there will be a different form used from the random, and you will be notified that it is a reasonable suspicion.

This does not apply though if you are an athlete subject to NCAA or professional rules. There, you must research your specific guidelines.

In the UK as in USA companies dont test due to cost, however in this country some employers get you to sign a disclaimer for them to see your doctors notes, any drug use is displayed in these notes in case of Trauma treatment. So testing is not needed to fail a job interview process. Especially if you have divulged to your Dr abou AAS use.
