I just picked up my propecia and I was wondering how long and what dosage should i take before staring my cycle of test prop in order for it to be effective?

as far as i know 1mg aday and some people go more while on cycle+u need to take it months before starting ur cycle to be effective before starting ur cycle, u can check THE AR SPA forum to be more sure and get accurate information

If memory serves, it reaches its full suppression level in 14 days. There are studies on the net.

One is more dht suppression than the other (duta), but propecia has long term/large scale studies that prove it's safety. I have used propecia and switched to duta when it first came out. If propecia does the job stick with it, if you feel it is not, then try duta only after you have given propecia a chance.

propecia and duta have to be run for months (6-12) before you see changes significant enough to notice any improvement in the mirror. Best you can expect if you are running it for a short term cycle is that it will stop any thinning that you would have had.

Of what I understand, finasteride will begin to be effective almost immediately, meaning blocking the conversion into DHT. Yet the effects on your hair, i.e regrowth, will take months. Dutasteride is more effective in blocking a greater percentage then finasteride. Also less DHT has its drawbacks in itself
