    Left Quad Injection

I tried to inject in my left quad today but everytime I do so it the needle feels like its going to puncture something like I can feel it tightening when it goes in a little bit and the needle only goes in about 1/2 way i know i'm hitting the vast. lateralis muscle because I have enough detail on my legs to point it out and i'm not flexing the muscle when I iniject what do you think I could be hitting? And I haven't tried to force the needle through oh no. Any insight as to what i'm doing wrong or not doing at all?

I wouldnt keep pushing it in if you are feeling tension. both times i've done that i've hit something. First time it was a nerve and the second time it was a vein. Not fun either way

yeah it definitely feels like i'm going into something i'm using a 22g 1 1/2 needle and i've done it with my right quad before I just wanna go ahead and get the left 1 broken in u know, the best parts that i've found and that i'm gonna stick with are gonna be the glutes and the shoulders, it doesn't hurt me that bad and i'm not gonna hit any big nerves or nething (I hope) but the glutes are far more easier to me than anything else.

christ man, a 22g is a damn ice-pick! get the 25g like repped suggested. less scar tissue and goes in practically painless.

as far as it feeling like it's not wanting to go in, how slow are you going in? you should be going in with a fairly fast pace, not slowly pushing it in. that just makes it hurt more.

why not inject the quads? i do it all the time with no problem. yes, i feel it more than in my glutes, but i'm not a big fan of delt injections as i saw a study posted by anthony roberts indicating that the gear isn't absorbed as effectively when put into the delts or other smaller muscle groups. if that info was accurate, it would seem the best muscles to inject would be the glutes and quads. what's your take on it?
