    to say the least.....lol

Technically there are ampules of medication and Vials of medication.

Ampules are the single use, glass containers that look like bullets. They usually contain 1cc of fluid but are definitely not limited. I've seen ampules of sterile water or lidocaine for surgery containing 5cc and more. The only thing with these are they are usually single use only because you have to break the glass top off and there is no way to re-seal them.....

Vials are usually multi-use containers that look like small glass canisters with a rubber stopper in the very top surrounded by metal to keep a seal. These are definitely not limited in size. They can range from 1cc all the way up into the 100's or 1000's of ml's. These you can draw what you need to inject and put the container away for future use being that they are sealed by a rubber stopper at the top. Just remember to wipe off the top of the Vial with rubbing alcohol before sticking the needle through the rubber because not only can you contaminate what's inside the vial but you can cause an infection where you inject due to the bacteria growth that builds up on the rubber top.

    Hope this helps
