Valium alternative???
I need something like Valium that when you take it just plain knocks you out b/c nothing else seems to work and I dont want to get addicted to this stuff, but what else is there? I have used lunesta, Nyquil, ambien, and Melatonin and they just make me groggy but I dont fall asleep any faster or have a better nights sleep.
Any one got any suggestions?

you might want to find the root of your insomnia instead. (depression, other drugs, not loving your job etc.)
believe it or not, unplugging anything electrical within arms reach of you works wonders. my homeopathic dr had all his patients do that, including me, and it worked real well.

Go see a doctor so you can get a proper diagnosis.

I just started taking klonopin and I really sleep good at night with vivid dreams. Its in the same family as valium though, raises GABA.

you may try the supplement Kava Kava . it will work synergistically with sedative - hypnotics as well as anti histamines and non-sedative / non-hypnotic medication. however be warned as to the high level of CNS depression one can achieve this way. Be safe.

Why are we talking about this crap? You won't have to worry about all that if you stay under a Doctor's supervision. Thier are plenty of other medications that are not controlled to help with sleep and aren't addictive.
