    IM injection question

I have been doing my IM injections in my quads this cycle. The last injection must have not gone in the muscle properly because the next day, right above my knee cap was sore and puffy. It was like the test and the eq didn't go in the muscle and ran over my muscle down above my knee cap (almost like a subqutanious injection). What my question is, will the test and eq still properly absorb? I switched from 1" to an 1 1/2" needle now. But anyway, I just want to know if that was a wasted shot or if it will still absorb properly. Thanks.

Bro,He just said he switched to 11/2 needle...That has happened before to other people...So IMO dont let it bother you too much...it should absorb...

He didn’t say if he switched before or after the injection in question.

I've had it once or twice. It will absorb, but will be less effective than when it is in the actual muscle.

AFAIK this only influences absorption time..

It will absorb if you inject it in fat eventually. But this is no where near optimal.

I've done this before. Injected to low in the quad next to the knee and its swollen up. Give it time it will get better. Few days.

OK, thanks a lot guys. Yeah I used a 1" needle for that shot, but after that I switched to a 1 1/2". It feels a lot better today. Thanks again.

You should be better off with the longer needle. PM me if you have any questions as far as injections go. They never sat us down during my master’s courses for NP and talked about steroids for athletes, but they sure as hell taught us a lot of other stuff… (including injections).
