When I started AAS on Jan 3, 2007 I hardened up pretty quickly.... I started taking finasteride at 1mg as a precaution for my hair and not only have I softened up while on AAS I also develped mild gyno on my left pec..... funny thing is I was harder before I started AAS and finasteride...... fin really does deplete the dht and make you softer.......

First off, I've been following your posts, I believe you tried var first, it gave you acne, then you busted out the tbol and you said you are having good success with that. With your finasteride issue, I am wondering, why did you think you needed it for your tbol cycle? Did you start shedding? I just started tbol and I am worried about the ol'hair. Before I started I was already shedding pretty bad, I've noticed less hair up top there. After reading some boards, and instead of taking dutasteride or finasteride, because of the side effects you are mentioning, nabbed this stuff called beta sitosterol, and my shedding has cut down. I am not sure if the stuff is really working or that i am just less stressed out and am experiencing a placebo effect.
Anyways, before i go on a rant, why did you break out the finasteride in the first place?

Beta Sistosterol is just a mild DHT blocker nowhere near as strong as Finasteride. I use Proscar which is 5mg and noticed no issues with softening up as you call it.Originally Posted by convalescence69

That sucks bro, I've been using Finasteride/Dutasteride for months now for my hair. I can tell you that when I started Finasteride I did not see any "softening" up. But as soon as I started Dutasteride I could definatley tell it was working. I softened up some IMO, my sex drive lowered, I pull the crap out of my hair and nothing comes out - which is good, whereas before if I tugged on my hair it just came out. I will say this thought, it seems as if the size of my nads have gotten bigger since using Dutasteride. I am not trying to joke either, I noticed it the other day. Maybe its all in my mind, but all joking aside it appears if they have gotten larger.

Also, I may run a Tbol/Test cycle soon, so this thread has caught my attention. I planned on using Duta/Nizoral/Minodoxcil on cycle. I believe as many will tell you the biggest war on DHT has to be fought on the inside. Believe me, I was on cycle one time and used every topical you can name and still lost hair. It was greatly reduced but it still went downt he drain.

Bro, I broke out the finasteride as a precaution...... I just wanted to have my bases covered for hairloss and such that might occur on aas.....

Finasteride wouldn't 'kill' your gains, if people can take dutasteride and still gain then you shouldn't notice much.
And if you really think you are, then switch to a topical. What else do you want? If it gives you gyno, and you don't want gyno, stop taking it. If it stops your gains, and you want gains, stop taking it. Seems simple to me?

Hell yeah, better safe than sorry, if you loose too much, its hair transplant time. lol I started taking Dutasteride naturally and notice a drop in my strength, to be honest, I am just as strong again as when I started taking it.

Bro, Its all good! LOLactually because of your post on GH.. I cut down to 1iu ed.... I figure I will give my body a break but I also dont want to totally cut gh off either.....
I know im freakin out a lot lately wit this gyno shit but its so damn hard to pinpoint what is causing it..... but I do think it was the fin.. maybe my body is very sensitive to fin and its effects.... the thing that I have been noticing alot lately is that I am softening up.... I used to have rock hard abs, they are still there and show but they are not as hard.... this is why I was hoping to get other peeps thoughts and experiences using dut and fin.. I have heard from alot of bros that dut has softened and weakened them up quite a bit....

Well, yer can't have yer cake and eat it. Whats more important to you, your hair or size and strenth, if you choose dht blockers, somthing has got to give. I'm doin a dbol only with dutasteride soon and I know that i'm not gonna make miracle gains, one has to prioritorize the other.

Well I think my body needs the dht... lol!! im really thinking about adding winny depot to the last 4 weeks of this cycle so I hope it can harden me up and fight the gyno......... i have stopped the fin altogether for now.....
for the last 4 weeks of cycle I will continue running....

Billy if you use winny in hopes of reducing your gyno you might exp hairloss which is what you were trying to avoid all together... I'm not too sure how good winny would be at this though so research it a bit more.
