I read on here that when injecting, put the needle in all the way and then pull it a bit to see if any blood comes into tthe needle to see if a blood vesle was hit. does anyone do this?

I do, most people do - should you do it? yes. For glute injections, it is hard to hit a vein but it is not impossible for sure.
u don't pull the needle out.... u pull back on the plunger alittle....if you see a small pocket of air, ur good, go on with the injection... if you see blood in the syringe then you pull the needle out and reinsert somewhere else and repeat the aspiration(pull back on the plunger to see if you get blood)... if no blood the second time then ur good to go
I thought everyone did this... I sure do.
No problems with re-injecting the small pocket of air that appears?
Nope, I do it all the time.Originally Posted by alphadigs
ok, ive only done one injection cycle, and i didnt do this. but i will be on the next one.
Most people get freaked out the the air they see in syringes. Air gets reabsorbed in the muscle tissue. It is only when you start injecting air into arteries or veins that you should be worried (and it's quite a bit of air at that).
Hopefully noone is injecting aas directly into their blood system.
yeah even injecting directly into a vein it take a good amoutn of air to stop the heart..ive read around 10cc's. but im sure injecting 2cc's of some steroid intrevenously will do somthing bad if not fatalOriginally Posted by Adrenalin
