you dont have to inject air into the vial the pull on the plunger will create a negative pressure and the gear will flow out .
just don't pass gas in the room before you suck some air up into your pin. J/K. You don't have to worry about contaminating your gear by putting air in your vial.

that would mean that if your needle touch the air, it would be unsterile. What we want to say is if you open a vial, its sucked up ^^
