    if air hitting the oil makes it unsterile then...

    wouldn't it contaminate the oil when you inject air into the vial before drawing? just wondering.

    you dont have to inject air into the vial the pull on the plunger will create a negative pressure and the gear will flow out .

    just don't pass gas in the room before you suck some air up into your pin. J/K. You don't have to worry about contaminating your gear by putting air in your vial.

    i do it every time, helps a lot with higher gauge needles.

    but why doesn't it contaminate(if it doesn't)it? many on this board say that once air hits the inside of a vial, oil, etc. that it's not considered sterile anymore.

    that would mean that if your needle touch the air, it would be unsterile. What we want to say is if you open a vial, its sucked up ^^

    Indeed. Any airborne bacteria would be killed off by the BA.
