I did as much research as i could. I still cant find an answer...
I was researching to know if anti-depressants/ anti-axiety meds, such as lexapro for instance, can limit your gains?
I can't find an answer to this question. All I keep finding is forums about people asking if it's okay to take steroids while on these meds, peroid. I already got the answer to that.
What I can't find is anyone who can let me know if by using steroids or pro-hormones while on lexapro, will it not make me gain as much as i would if i wasn't on lexapro?
I would also like to know if lexapro can hinder gains while not even being on juice or pro-hormones? Can it make you not get or be as strong as you should? Can it make you not gain as much muscle as you could ?
thank you in advanceLast edited by dominant1; 03-12-2007 at 02:07 AM.

versace is as useful as the wall behind you. I don't think SSRI's will have much an impact, in-fact test is its own anti-d.

I have been on Celexa/Citalopram and propranolol for about 6 years now. Running cycles has been fine for me. I usually bump the dose of Celexa during PCT to avoid and depressing moods.
I would not reccomend taking steroids whilst on anti-depressant medication. We all react differently, luckily I can deal with the increased aggression and mood swings, it may be different for you.

Lexapro is an anti-anxiety, not anti-depressant.

well if u're depressed..
having an acne breakout, losing hair , becoming larger than the average human aka a freak the usual Steroid side-effects..
might make u even more unstable.

Hope that helps bro.

well I have a lot of juice on hand but I don't want to cycle anytime soon.
I'm really trying to figure out what lexapro or any anti-d or anti-anxiety will do to my even my natural gains...
i'm looking for an exact answer to this:
What I can't find is anyone who can let me know if by using steroids or pro-hormones while on lexapro, will it not make me gain as much as i would if i wasn't on lexapro?
I would also like to know if lexapro can hinder gains while not even being on juice or pro-hormones? Can it make you not get or be as strong as you should? Can it make you not gain as much muscle as you could ?
thanks bros you've been great so far but I still can't get my questions answered flat out lol

I doubt you'll ever find a 'flat out answer' to your question as I seriously doubt that science has been done in a controlled environment as to whether or not lexapro has a downside for steroid users.

mg for mg it is one of the strongest, only because it's slightly more selective in its binding to inhibit the uptake.
but it seems as though doctors perscribe the 10mg to start a patient on an ssri, and frequently change to another. i've never taken any, and studies still aren't showing that any anti is more effective than a placebo, so a definite answer is hard to reach.
imo, (talking to dizz, not the thread starter) l-tryptophan has got to be the one compound i trust the most.
