Ampule question

Thanks to Hart for the info, but after looking it up on the web, i see that they sell ampule openers for $5 a piece

ok.... what im not understanding is why do they sell in quantities and why is the price so low? is it a one time use? do you dispose of it when you break your first amp?

i mean.... can i just buy ONE and use it for roughly 20-30 amps?

Yes they do wear out and yes you can do 30 amps no problem a lot more actually but they do wear out. I think they are the safest and easiest way to open amps.
