    Sachets

I've been doing my research and I just wanted some more info. I know you have to filter them im not to that stage yet im just trying to figure out if I want to purchase them or not. People who have used them what was your experience and your thoughts? I know they are allot cheaper but you also have to go through the extra steps to make them sterile and it seams that is a very tedious process.

my understanding is they are sterile, so no need to filter. also if u r talking the 5ml sachets then ive heard good things about them. i also hear the 3ml ones are junk. ive never used either but this topic comes up all the time in here so ive read quite a bit about them, GL!

You dont have to filter them, 3ml = junk, 5ml = good, 20ml = i hear they are good. When you extract from teh sachet, i use a knife to open it, of course i rub everything with rubbing alcohol to make sure its all sterile, then i put it in a vial. Simple as that...

I did not filter mine. They only come in 3mL and 5mL. The "20mL" just consist of 4 5mL sachets. Rub some scissors down with an alcohol prep pad then cut the very edge of the sachet, just enough for a big needle to enter. Then start to pull it into the syringe untill you need to cut the sachet down alittle more and finish it off. I spilt a little out of a couple sachets and still pulled atleast 5.5mL from each one so there is room for error.

There is no way part of the foil or plastic will get into the syringe like some people are suggesting. As long as you poke the needle, bevel up, there is next to no chance of that happening. I have never filtered mine. As far as I'm concerned, they are sterile. Like others have said over and over, wash and swab the f ing things before you draw. If you choose to cut a corner then do what superlif does and rub down the scissors with alcohol and any other instrument you decide to use, this includes razor blades except for sterile syringes.

The lab that makes them is decent. But there is alot of other good labs with competitive pricing. Why go through the hassle and the extra steps/ you guys make things more difficult then it has to be.
