On the eve of trial, the DA offered to lower the charges to two disorderly conduct ordinance violations. I'll have to pay a fine, but it beats paying my lawyer $300.00 per hour for a bogus trial. My lawyer agreed that the DA had a very weak case, and though he couldn't guarantee it, said he was 99% sure we would not lose. So it came down to the lesser of two evils, and dropping a criminal charge in favor of an ordinance violation.
On another front, the next day my ex-wife found out she has a thyroid disorder. Most likely linked to popping 10 ephedrins at a time (literally) for years.
Now, I've been off the juice for two years, but that's gonna end. Can't wait to see her face when I pack on 20 lbs. "Me? steroids?, of course not."
