Canadians who have ordered powders from China

Not techncially a source question, so here goes.

What's the normal delay in getting the delivery - it seems to get to Can. fast enough, it's the delivery delay afterward that seems long.

    Anyone experienced this?

Is it just the usual delay as the all of the batch of packages passes customs that slows it all down?

Should I be getting worried after about 10 working days after arriving in
    Can?

Just says "International Letter arrived in Canada".

At least at the sender's end it says it went to customs clearance.

It was sent as a "document" - the quantities were low enough to make it fit nicely in an envelope - first time - trying out the service.

I remember that it used to take 7 days just to get mail from that part of the country, and that's without any customs holdups...so, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Wonder how I'd know if it *did* get seized.....

Did I mention it's going EMS - So the ultimate delivery company is Canada Post?

That alone could explain the delay

Well, still nothing so far - anyone have a rule of thumb as to when to give up on it as being seized (or lost?)

I'm giving it the rest of this week - then, I'll just take it as a learning experience with respect to importing

I was kind of wondering the same thing....my first order of powder for my rats arrived in 3.5 weeks from over seas....My second order has taken over 2 months and still no word where it is..... do they always give seizure letters?

OK - now I'm more worried, and a little annoyed.

It is now offically about 3.5 weeks of *working* days....any thoughts?

    No seizure letters, no nada...

Maybe it's just *really* slow to clear customs or something....

Again, any Canadians out there had any experience with this?

I am just waiting for my first shipment of er uh lab rat powders. When I track it, there are two entries that show "Consignment Held For Inspection By Customs". One a day ago and one today. It shows entering Canada two days ago, me thinks thats alittle odd.

I will tell you that there have been 2 or 3 major busts in China recently at some powder factories and the DEA has there hands in it...

I know a source out of Canada that has had several powder orders coming into Canada seized recently.

    Good luck and be safe.

Hmm....I know the stuff got to Canada....

How recently did these busts happen? I was wondering why I wasn't getting any responses to emails advising of the delay....
