Help finding lab in NY
The lab I previously used for blood work no longer services the NY and I’m having a hard time finding a new one. (the lab advertised on this board under “Confidential Blood Testing” does not serve NY residents) Has anyone been able to find a lab that serves NY residents and does not require a Dr. to request the analysis? If so, please PM details.

Is there a reason why you wouldn't use your normal doc? I pay my $25 copay and have blood work done whenever I feel I need it. I simply tell my doc what tests I want and he does em.

I don't have medical insurance; really don’t want my family Dr involved, and shopping around for another Dr is just going to cost me even more with no guarantee of success. I’m hoping someone else is in the same situation; otherwise I’ll have to pony up the cash and go searching for a Dr.

I appreciate the suggestion aadrenaline, but according to their website they require a healthcare provider to order the work-up.

thanks davidboy, their disclaimer confirms my suspicions. Good thing NY is looking out for my best interests.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO RESIDENTS OF NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY, AND RHODE ISLAND: DUE TO RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED UPON US BY YOUR STATE'S ***ARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES, WE ARE UNABLE TO ARRANGE BLOOD TEST SERVICES FOR YOU. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE THAT THEIR "RULES" IMPOSE ON US AND THE PEOPLE IN THOSE STATES WISHING TO SAVE 40-70% ON HEALTH SERVICES BUT WHO CANNOT BECAUSE OF THEIR STATE'S DUMB RULES.
