I've always injected my glutes but im gonna try quads this cycle.

The pictures off those sites are hard cause no one looks the same. What i do is i stand straight and put my arms to my side and i mark where my ring on my ring finger is, thats the area i use. Once i know the area, is sit down, flex my leg just to see where the muscle is and find my mark.
Go in slowly cause there is nervs and other weird shit in quads, i find when i jab fast i end up poking something and my leg twitchs.

I find that the closer you get to the knee, the better that chance of hitting a nerve and causing major pain. I usually draw an imaginary lower case "t" on my quad the try to hit one of the two quadrants furthest from the knee. There just seems to be less pain and fewer nerves...but doesn't always work. There are still times when i'll have horrible horrible pain for up to three days...But I guess that is the price we pay. Another thing...If I inject in the quad and then do leg work or major cardio work that same day...I seem to have MUCH more pain than if I inject and lay off the legs for that whole day. Just me two cents.

I do quads all the time, the first couple of times I was limping around for a few days but after that its easy. I dont even do glutes anymore only quads and shoulders.

I do the upper third of my quad toward the hip at about 60 degrees from horizontal.
When you hit a nerve, you might not know it until the next day when you are limping around like a pirate.
I also got a lot of gushers, so make sure to aspirate .

No reason to get too complicated about it bro, just load the syringe, sit down, and inject. As simple as that.
Just like any other muscle group you start injection into, the more you do it the easier it will get.

The first couple of times it will hurt.
Other than that its my favorite spot since it is so easy to use both hands and aspirate . The pain is worth it to me.

Quads are the easiest to hit. You can use both hands. One to steady the pin and the other to push the plunger.
Easy as 123.
Good luck and stay safe,
