Shooting in the middle 2/3's of your vastus lateralis is usually the easiest imo. But why limit yourself to only quads anyways?Originally Posted by Lacrosse2552
my quad is the spot where i am the most comfortable doing it and it seems to be the easiest(i can use both hands to steady needle while aspirating&injecting). i would inject into my glute but i am new at this so until i am better doing it im going to wait. im kinda paranoid about breaking a needle
I guess it ***ends on the angle you hit the quad. I went into the quad from the side and it was painful, I had a limp for 2 days. I recommend glute injections.
quad hurt alot more than shoulders or ass ever did
just my personal experience
Well like I said tan, just inject in the middle 2/3's of your vastus lateralis. Thats the best advice I can give.Originally Posted by Lacrosse2552
I just started my first cycle two weeks ago, and i felt the same way you do that i would have more control over what i was doing while injecting if i was pinning a quad. The first time I injected it was pretty painless. Got a little sore the next day, but two nights after I woke up to use the bathroom stepped out of bed and fell flat on my face. Laid there for about 5 mins whining like a little girl. I guess they call that virgin muscle syndrome. After a couple more days I was fine, but be prepared. I also ended up pinning delts which i found to be just as easy.
quads are nt recommended...haha...its painful dude.. glutes are the best..but remember to rotate
I started with glutes and found that control of the pin was an issue. I started to do quads and never really had an issue to be honest, some hurt afterwards and some don't. You just have to buck up a little.......no biggie.
I wont do quads anymore, the injection itself is ok and nearly painless BUT 2 days after i cant even walk!!!,it happends every time so its not down to it being a virgin muscle.Sticking with delts, traps,bi`s,tri`s and pecks from now on.
i love quads, just like a knife through butter.i inject in the top of the thighs working from lower to higher.just relax and its a breeze.
quad injects are a cake walk. I thought they were evil during the first cycle cause i coudln;t walk two days later, then i found some different gear which is pretty much painless whereever ya shoot. Also whoever said something bout breaking a pin, i think the odds of that are damn near zero. i did a little experiment and was jabbing one into my desk and it never broke it bent but didn;t come close to breaking off. althought i find glutes to be a little harder due to lack of using two hands it seems to be faitly painless even with some movement. Just remember whichever site your chose stretch out before and after it seems to help out a little.
It all gets easier with experience.
i done my 2nd shot into my right quad cause my bro wasnt around to a glute shot for me,theres no doubt its easy but it was sore, walking with a limp sore for 3days but ill be doin my left quad nxt,im gona limit my quad shots to 1cc though and my larger shots for my glutes
Quad shots are painless for me. Just like any virgin muscle, your first few times you may be sore for couple of days but once you get used to it that pain will go away. I shoot about 10 inches down from my hip bone. If I am looking down at my legs, I put the needle in on the outside corner of the tops of my quads. That seems like the best place for me. I also don't jab the needle in for quad shots, I push it in slow. The quad that I am going to shoot I extend fully out. Once you do it the first time, you will be glad you did. Quads are my favorite.
Quads are a good spot to do. Only thing is, if you botch it up and get too close to a nerve, youll be limping around for a week. I just did 2 quad injects late last week. One went fine and I had no pain at all ever, the other one Ive had pain now for a week. Sometimes you get unlucky and inject close to a nerve, and then when it swells post injection you get pain becuase of the pressure on the nerve. This is no different though than other sites you use though. Only problem is that you use your legs so much during the day.
ah so it sounds like it is more of a personal preference thing. thanks for all the great responses.
