    Should I change.....

    my syringe after a couple of shots?

    reason i ask, is at first it was fine, i would wash it when im done, wash it before i use it, but now it seems no matter how much i wash it, it feels like it never gets dry, it always has a bit of moisture in it and now there seems to be like an oil build up on the tip of it

    i suck a bit of alchohol in it you know to sanitize it, but no, the oil seems to still be there

    i take it apart, the plunger and the syringe itself, you know so it can dry better and i keep it in my drawer, a cool and dry place

    i just finished my 5th shot, shoulw it may be time to change the syringe? or is that ok? can i still keep cleanin it with alchohol or no? i have like 20 of them i orderd a loooong time ago so i dont mind throwing the complete thing out and using a new one

    what do you guys think?

    It says "single use only"

    Use it ONE time, then throw it out. Syringes+needles are so freakin cheap I dont know why you would use the same one twice???

    I never use a pin or syringe more then once buti have a buddy who would stick it alcohol and use it over and over. I finallt convinced him it was not worth the risk.

    Ya, use a new syringe every time. And if your using the same needle, they basically are destroyed once they puncture something (vial, skin). And if your using the same needle for drawing as you are shooting, don't, its not a good idea.

    Terumo on their site has some pics of what the tip looks like after more than one use. It starts to look like the barb on a fish hook. OUCH!

    The unopened package that the syringe comes in is for sterility. Once the package is opened and you use the syringe, it is no longer sterile. You are just asking for problems (abcesses, infection, etc).

    I'm glad to see you are no longer going to re-use the syringe.
