What does test do to your TSH?

Anybody know what steroids (and test in general) do to your thyroid levels?

I got sick on Holiday and now my doc ordered bloodworks including TSH. Do steroids affect these levels and if so...would he suspect any steroids?

AS use may affect thyroid function. Administration of AS has been found to decrease thyroid stimulation hormone (TSH), and the products of the thyroid gland. In addition, thyroid binding globulin (TBG). These changes reversed within weeks after discontinuation of AS use.

What exactly happened or is happening now? ***ending on the severity of your condition, it may be wise to come clean - if serious. Most times though, stopping steroids will clear most health issues up in a few weeks.

So far, I can't think of any condition I have. I just got very ill whilst on holiday (in the tropics) and went to the doc when I got back. He decided to do full bloodworks to clear out any tropical diseases, i.e. parasites virusses etc...

Here in Holland we get a form which we take to the lab and says exactly what the doctor wants checked. He included TSH for some reason. Any chances he'll know I'm on roids once he gets the results?

At least I get to know my bloodworks which I didn't ask for.
