    Antibiotics for abcesses

    I read somewhere that people keep them on hand just in case. What works the best. I need a few suggestions so I can start looking, Thanks

    I would suggest Ciprofloxacin at 500mgs/tab. It a very broad spectrum antibiotic and work on most bacteria. If you can't get that, Zithromax or even Tetracycline works well.

    Zithromax, thats the Z-pack right. I may be able to get that. I know I can get some samples of Levaquin, will that work.

    Here are 3 of the best...

    Keflex 500mg
    Ciprofloxacin 500mg
    Amox 875mg

    That will kill just about anything.....

    Ya, it's a Z-pack. It's kinda expensive unless you can get a Doc to Rx it to you so your insurance pays for it.

    Levaquin has too many side effects.

    Wen it happened to me i used levaquin but it gave me a rash on my legs and arms thought it was an allergy to the medication but i have heard it happends to a lot of people when using that
