Local man indicted by federal government for attempting to deal steroids

A local man has been indicted by the federal government with attempting to deal steroids.
Christopher Coyle, no age or address available, was allegedly attempting to have testosterone shipped to him from Pakistan.
The FBI, Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office and U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency seized a package sent to the U.S. Postal Office in Pittston. The package was opened May 10 by federal investigators and 250 vials of injectable steroids was discovered. The package was re-sealed without the steroids and delivered to the address on the label.
More than an hour later, Coyle allegedly arrived at the location, which federal authorities did not disclose, and retrieved the package. He was immediately taken into custody.
In a subsequent search of Coyle’s residence, federal investigators say they recovered numerous other injectable vials and information relating to a May 7 shipment from Pakistan.
Investigators charged Coyle with attempt to distribute the steroids. Coyle’s next scheduled court appearance is May 23 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Blewitt.
