any way to filter fina without using a syringe filter?
You can use a coffee filter but it will still be cloudy most likely.
I used both and it wasnt until i used the final whatman filter did it become a clear solution.
As far as ive been told , the fina being cloudy will not effect the potency at all, just a apperance thing.
it depends on how you want to filter the stuff. you can tightly pack cotton or glass wool (works better) in a syringe. I have never done this with fina, but in the lab it works well with colloidal dispersions.
JJ is absolutely right. The syringe filter is necessary for sterility not a step I would skip especially since they are so cheap.
well where can i pick them up besides the net, preferably local? I don't mind the $, but with the kits, I always need more to filter it than the 2 or 3 they give.
Every were on the net they are like 4 or 5 bucks...Never seen them for 23 cents..thats a hell of a profit margine..
