    doxycycline as antiobio?

I did a shot in the glutes (300mg/ml of test e) and it's become into a hard lump, getting some headache too. I think it could be an abscess. This happend during my last cycle also and the doc gave me levaquin. But i have 50 tabs of doxycycline at home so since they are all antiobio, can this be used instead of levaquin?

Both treat a variety of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. If I were you and didn't have health care I would take the doxycycline. However, if you have insurance I'd go see the doc. Its kind of a small risk but if the doxycycline doesn't take care of what you have it will kill off the other bacteria possibly leading to a super-infection.

Welli found this on the net
"Most abscesses are caused by S. aureus. However, group A streptococcus (S. pyogenes) is a concern with significant cellulitis and is not well covered by trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole and may be resistant to doxycycline"

Do we know which bacteria causes the injection abscess infection?

Take the doxy. for at least 7-10 days. It takes 72 hours for an antibiotic to get in the system really good. And stop sticking in that area. Was is the same spot last time?

Na bro it was my first shot for this cycle. But yes, it was the same area that had an infection during my last cycle back in march... I'll swtich it to the right glutes and left/right quads from now on.
