I think it may depend on how much of that weight is lean muscle mass vs. bf%. Bump for a more defined answer....
Also depends on cycle history. Fresh virgin receptors will require far less mgs of steroids than someone who has lets say 5 cycles under their belt and their receptors have been used quite a bit.Originally Posted by Igifuno

500mg probably much better than 300mg but 1000mg not nessicarily any better than 500, depends on the person. Use the least amount of gear that is giving you good gains. I always wondered about this. Generally speaking, I would have to say yes, that more weight = need for more gear. But, That would be dependant on the gear. I think test, would be about the same for all. But other compounds I would have to venture to guess they SHOULD be dosed by mg/kg, like all other meds, but I have never ready anything to confirm that.
Anyone have any solid information rather than speculation?

i think for a first cycle 300mg a week is plenty for anyones first cycle. i know alot of people on this site say 500mg but me and all my buddys did 250-300mg for first cycles. we all gained at least 20 pounds. they where only 6-7 week cycle, i do beleive it should be run at least 12 week.
I did 700mg a week of prop on my first cycle. and gained about 20lbs in 8weeks that I kept.
i only kept 16-17 of it but i did much less test. i just dont think 450 more mg of test a week is worth 3 pounds.
I think there is a good lesson to be learned there. Once you start pushing the dosage envelope, you start to decrease keepable gains. If you don't want to subject your body to the life of a "always on or bridging" life of a pro, moderate doses are the key.Originally Posted by rabidsquirrel

Granted there is receptor issues that makes them require more of a compound. But still, too often I don't think people thiunk things through. AAS will push you past that genetic ability, but in the end, mother nature will win. Long term you will only keep what your body can support.
