When would you ditch a cycle If you thought It was bunk....

Suppose to be on a 12 week Test E cycle of 500mg/week. Tonights my 10th shot and the end of week 5, Sunday starts week 6. No gains and don't feel much stronger. Never even had any sides I can think of. The gears either bunk or under dosed I'm guessing. Im trying to be patient but I even frontloaded 1000mg for week 1. So when would you throw in the towel?

22, 6'0, 195-200lbs....I flucuate 3-5lbs per day. I have a high metabolism. My BF% was calipered tonight at 14.2%. Which I'd say is fairly accurate.

In 10/06 I was 183lbs, 14% BF. From there I took my diet really serious and I bulked through winter and in February got up to 205lbs, 18-19% BF. March-June I did some light cut/maintaining and got to where I am now. Started my cycle on 6/10.

Not claiming my diets 100%, not even 90% perfect but none the less It works for myself. I cant see how It would be so bad that I wouldnt make any gains in size or strength.

    Example Diet, today.

Meal 1 - 2 Egg whites, 1 whole. Bowl of Raisin Bran/Fat free Milk and cup of O.J.

    Gym - Back and Biceps

Meal 2 - Whey Protein Shake, 2 Whole wheat slices of toast.

Meal 3 - Tuna on Whole Meat....something on the side like celery or apple.

Meal 4 - Skipped today but usually a protein bar or something quick, Its my busiest time of day and Im usually on the go.

Meal 5 - 10oz of Steak w/ Green Peppers and Onions, and a Potatoe. Cup of Skim Milk with Whey protein mix.

3 to 4 times a week I'll have a pre bed snack like broccoli or another glass of milk or peanut butter on whole wheat toast. Something to break down slow and keep me catabolic.

The only thing my diet lacks in my mind is water.....I pry only have about 12-16oz of water a day. While I guess I should be having a gallon or two. Other then that I'd say Im about 200-300g of protein and around 2500-3000 cals which is slightly under maintain prolly.

If you want to gain weight you will need to eat double what you are. Yes I said it double what you eat now. I think you are pushing it to claim 200 grams of protein from that.

oh yeah and as for the test E be patient. When I was first getting into aas I started a cycle of test E not understanding what esters where. After 4 weeks of taking it I noticed no difference so I said F this shit and gave it away, 3 bottles of it. The guy that I gave it to ran it for 10 weeks and gained 15 lbs. I kicked myself in the a$$.

Eat a lot more and drink a LOT more water. Many people underestimate what a dramatic effect lack of water can have.

In my opinion, your instincts are correct in that you are asking this question at week 5-6. I'd probably stop now, except looking at your diet your calories are a problem. I'm 6'2" and 240. When I take enanthate I start noticing it at the end of week 2. By the end of week 3 I gain about 10 lbs, gain unquestionalbe strength and feel durable. Week 4-5, I'm gaining a lot of mass and strength. But I eat about three times as much as you. When I bulk-up, I don't mess around.

Dial your diet in and give it some more time.

I'm not trying to bulk nor am I looking for the 30lbs some people claim to gain. But I agree I could eat more. I'v done It before naturally and in 3.5 months gained about 20lbs. It Just takes lots of work, I know what to do, but knowing and doing are seperate things. I was only really trying to add a good 8-10lbs of LBM during this 3 month cycle, but Im 1 month in, hope Im not to late. Oh well I guess I will up my calories and try to squeeze in another meal or two. I hate feeling so damn bloated and stuffed 24 hrs a day. Im sure It doesnt help that I walk 2-3 miles a day in 97-100 degree weather (part of my work), It will be even harder to keep weight. Thanks guys for some added Inspiration....

a question though, not that Im entertaining the thought, but shouldnt I be gaining some strength and a few lbs even with a poor diet? I understand diets the most significant part of the equation but I'v seen alot of people add s+w with much much worse diets.

your diet dictates your weight not what you take. You could double your dose and your not going to gain a pound.

If your under a maintenance amount by your own admission how do you expect to put on 8lb of muscle?
