    bad cholesterol numbers

I just got my bloodwork back and the Dr.. said my liver toxicity was a little off but nothing to be concerned about. He was, however, concerned about my cholesterol numbers. My good cholesterol was really low and my bad cholesterol was really high (I think about double normal). I forgot the actual numbers as this was a few days ago and I didn't write them down 'cuz I was walking and not in my office...

what can/should I be doing to help with the cholesterol issues? I already eat a bowl of oatmeal almost every morning and I take a multivitamin. I know the multivitamin doesn't directly affect cholesterol but I figured it's info you guys should know.

this is my first cycle and I am almost finished. Test E 300mg 2xweek and started with Dbol 40mg first 4 weeks and I am finishing my last 2.5 weeks on Dbol as well.

I am 30 years old, was 205lbs 34% BF and got down to 196lbs at 24% before starting the cycle. I am about 206lbs now at around 15% BF. I just maxed for the first time since I finally had a spotter and I hit 265lbs for 2 reps without help for the first time!! I am pleased so far with my results but I could have been more dedicated

Basically, what can I do to improve my cholesterol situation. I already eat 3-5 eggs a day and eat oatmeal routinely.

Did you have baseline bloodwork done before your cycle, that way you'd see where your normal reading are.

Of course not.. that would have been an intelligent thing to do

Flax oil, Salmon, Fish oil, udo's oil ect all contain Essential Fatty acids which help with Cholesterol. Red yeast rice also helps but u need to add some COQ10 with it.

oral steroids will give that type of cholesterol profile...you should know that is one of the side effects..not much you can do to keep them normal when youre on them..they should return to normal when you stop, assuming they were normal before you started

I was aware that my cholesterol and liver values were going to get crazy and I'm not by any means "freaking out' about it. I have been taking a multivitamin, CoQ10, and other supplements and just thought I'd ask if there were specific things I could add in to help with the cholesterol numbers... and the apparent answer is more EFA's.

I listed it in a different thread B4 but here is a vague and general day:

0615 breakfast of eggs, little bacon and english muffin OR big bowl oatmeal

0800 snack of cytogainer or muscle milk and fruit or other small food item

0915 2nd breakfast of breakfast burrito consisting of mostly eggs, a little bacon, few hashbrowns and a little cheese. also eat fruit with this. I have been eating this at the office since it is honestly some of the better options I have... that's why I make it "mostly eggs"

1130-1200 lunch when I get home of chicken and rice with vegetables or tuna sandwich with fruit

1430 -1500 maybe another sandwich or some fruit or more chicken or leftovers

1700-1800 dinner with the fiancee of chicken and rice or pasta. May swap chicken for lean beef, ground turkey, or other lean meat.

we usually eat vege's at least once and I snack on fruit if I get hungry

I also have a PWO of musclemilk after training usually around 2330.

If I missed a meal during hte day I wil lfit it back in after dinner but before the workout. usually before I go to jiu jitsu class...

EDIT: I also added in a fiber supplement for easier and more frequent poops during the day

Try eating egg whites only and cut out the cheese and red meat for a bit. Replace all your carbs with oatmeal or other complex sources. Musclemilk is really bad stuff, just in general. Keep your cardio up and eat better fats (EFAs) for sure.

Im sure, like you, that things are a little jacked from being on cycle, but get bloodwork done again in another 6 weeks to be sure. Good luck.

Yeah, My Dr. already asked me to redo the tests after my cycle. He actually sounded more concerned when he told me the news of my results until I reminded him I was on cycle and then he said that explains a lot and we should redo them in 6-8 weeks... that'll give me time to finish cycle and start PCT...

really? what else would be better? from the research I did (reading the labels) it seems to have some of the highest protein, carbs, and other things compared to teh other protein/carb shakes out there, plus they taste decent.

I recently picked up some "ON" Brand "PRO COMPLEX" which supplies 55g of proteins per serving and only 4 or 5 g carbs. I use this pre workout so as to have fewer carbs in there and then I use muscle milk or cytogainer post workout since they have protein and carbs.
