Thread: Retaining Strength, How much of it??

Question Retaining Strength, How much of it??

Hey everybody, its been a long time since I last posted, but I had a question I was thinking about when I was in the gym last night:

How much strength should I expect or try to retain 3 months after a cycle? I wanted to gauge my performance by some of your feed backs.

On cycle, for example, I was benching 250 10x for sets of 5. Three months after my pct ended, I am benching 250 5-6x for sets of 5. Has my strength diminished too much, or is that loss expected with the body going back to normal, natural state??

I would appreciate all opinions and advise!

yea I dont really look any different size wise, I am more interested in how much my lifting has been effected.

not sure of everyone else but when im on cycle my stregnth doesnt jump through the roof. if i can bench 315 off cycle then i bet im not going to go much more then 330-340 on cycle. alot of its mental. you will feel better pumps and be more energized while lifting so you do feel stronger. i could be wrong in some cases but id say dont expect to go from benching 300 to 500 then back down again to 300. of course i havnt been doing much bulking cycles lately as im happy with my size i just been trying to tweak certain weaknesses.
