Went to the local medical supply here and I got a box of 100 needles and syringes for 20 bucks. They're all 25 gauge 1 inch pins (this is all they had in stock). I'm wondering if this is adequate for glute shots, seeing as though I notice many people are using 1 1/2 inchers?

Have you ever watched your doctor give you a shot? They stick that fvcker in deep! As long as you hold steady and go straight in, I cant imagin that you'd break the needle.

I've read that too, but to be honest I can't see it happening, unless there was a defect in the pin or something. There just isn't enough leverage to break the pin, in my opinion.

Hey bro, I always wondered the same thing about breaking a pin off in me. So I tried breaking a used pin on the counter top in my bathroom and I'll be the first to tell you, you'd have to be a moron to break one of those things in you. Give it a try on a counter top or something and you'll see for yourself.

Yeah, docs are brutal with their shots.

And I did open one syringe just to see how it is, and I tried bending the needle and it's actually pretty durable. You'd have to bend it REALLY FVCKING far to the side for it to snap.

In england we get all ours for free! anything from 21G to 29G, all 1 inch or 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 inch. And swobs and sharps bins too :-)

By no means am I suggesting anybody do what I do but, I have used a 25ga 5/8 pin twice a week for a year and a half for glutes and shoulders and have never had a problem. My bodyfat is pretty low and it works for me. I get them for free but I also have a box of 25ga 1.5" on standby. Like I said this works for me and I'm not saying it would work for everybody. Just my experience.

Our local needle exchange is within a hospital actually and they give you a local supermarket bag to put them in so walking out of the hospital whos not to think you havnt just been visiting a family member on a ward ;-)

What's the deal with the pins in Ireland i wonder. Pharmacies require prescription not buy pins and I've no clue where the syringe exchange is located.

I'm on the East coast, and I highly doubt the place I went to is a chain that's all over the country. It's called Riska Medical Supply. I have no idea if Shoppers would sell syringes and pins. You can check, but I highly doubt it. Try veterenarian supply places, they'll sell syringes and pins no questions asked, so search around your area for any.

I've had like other customers look at me funny sometimes when I go to buy pins, but never had anyone working there say anything. I went with a friend once to get an oral syringe for his clen and the lady asked what he needed it for, I guess it just depends on who's working there.

I use 1.5 inches for everything i just dont go all the way in most of the times. i would use 1 inch for tris and delts, but thats just me

Theres no need to be concerned about using a 1" pin. There was a study done that showed sub-q injections of Testosterone were just as effacious as IM...

Sub-q is not the same as injecting into fatty tissue. The former, as in GH use, is between the skin and fat.

Only thing I might add is that its going to take awhile to push the oil through a 25 gauge needle if your doing the glute. It is hard to reach back there and you cant generate as much pressure as you can with an easier to reach spot. I would bet you get tired of having to do an injection for so long. i wouldnt go smaller than a 23 gauge back there.
