strange injection....

I haven't had any injection issues in the past, i always push the pin in slow and aspirate, i have hit a vein in my quad and and to take it out and swap pins before but no big deal...Today was different though, i pushed the pin in my quad(favorite muslce group for injection) and about 3/4" in it hurt like hell, so i stopped, poked a lil and it was ok....pushed the pin all the way in, 1.5" and aspirated...no blood...so i slowly push the plunger down, and it burned way more than usual(usually doesnt burn at all) but when i pulled the pin out slowly about half way up blood shot in the pin...just a drop, but none the less, blood....is it possible i could have pushed the pin all the way through a vein and injected on the other side and when i pulled it out blood shot in??? cause it bled a bit after i pulled the pin all the way out too, i dont usually bleed at all....any wisdom?

You probably hit a vein on your way in and went past it. Ive done it a few times.

yea ... sound like it will be ok... as long as you asperated before you injected ...

Yes, that is a possibility, unfortunately it is hard to confirm. I would say that is what most likely happens, as long as you're fine now then theres no need to worry. You know what you're doing, good luck on the next injections.

thankyou thankyou...too bad it hurts like hell now =/ i dont usually get injection soreness or anything....guess this is jus a bad day...well off to the gym to work out my hurtin legs...kinda sux my leg day lined up on a leg injection day....anywho thanks for the advice everybody!!!
