    Restoring Receptor Sites

I have a question, I know that after a cycle HCG and Clomid are essential for easing back down test levels and avoiding the crash. My question here is that is there an RX or OTC supplement that can be used to help bring up receptor sites? My friend told me to use plain Benadryl 50mg/day, which helps to keep the receptors from being burnt out too fast. I was just curious because i'm about 1/2 way thru my cycle now, and wanted sum info in reguards to this topic. I know that a drug has to bind to a receptor to do the body good and well theres no point in injecting test or w/e if they can't bind to the appropriate receptors.

    Jay Use nolva with Hcg

Your friend was speaking of beta 2 receptor down regulation ( works for clen not testosterone)..

Receptor down reg has many different veiws on how much it really effects us when using certain aas ..

I will say receptors do up reg at the start of a cycle... Lots of info on receptors if you do a search.

Plus in my opinion its BS. The AR is there the steroid binds to it 'destroys' the AR and a new AR is made. So I dont think your receptors are burnt out ..

easing back down test levels and avoiding the crash? Not why I do pct.

No otc supplements or drugs I know of will up-regulate anabolic or androgenic receptors except some steroids mabe.

What makes you think receptor down-regulation is the mechanism with which your body regulates homeostasis? What makes you think receptor down-regulaton ever happens?

    Benadryl...no

Well its simple pharmacology a drug has to bind to sumthing i.e a receptor site for it to work. And isn't that what clomid and HCG do? Stimulate ur bodys own natural test levels again after ur cycle? But thanx for the info on the receptors I really would have hated to gone thur a box of benadryl being sleepy all day only to find out it doens' tdo ne good lol.

If receptors did deregulate guys like Jay and Ronnie would not be able to hold their size. Receptors constantly regenerate.

Yes hcg and a SERM stimulate ur bodys natural test production . not sure what your saying really or how it is related to receptors downreg. Hcg works by mimicking LH sending a single from the pituitary gland to the testes to start functioning again. So again I am totally confused to what your saying and how it would have to do with receptor down reg ?????????

Of interesting note, steroid hormones along with thyroid hormones and melatonin are small hormones that enter the cellular membrane and bind to receptor proteins, then enter the nuclear membrane. Then the hormone-receptor complex binds to the DNA and increases the transcription of proteins, the action is slower than with peptide hormones and the whole process can take hours. The results are usually more permanent though. Peptide hormones, like insulin and most drugs bind to trans-membrane peptide receptors on the cell surface and then cause action by opening passageways for ions or nutrients or by signaling inside the cell membrane (not nuclear membrane). Their action is fast and they are limited by how many trans-membrane receptors there are. Type steroid receptor into google and then look at images for a picture of what is happening..
