    tumors and steroids>??

I'm giving my brother who's in great shape and 42 that he should take some test......we get in a conversation and he tells me that if you take steroids , it also speeds up tumor growth significantly.

This guy isn't passed feding me some bs, anyone heard of anything like that?

Several years ago a good friend of mine passed away from Mellanoma (sp). His Derm. originally cut out what was thought to be all of the cancer, 6 months later he was dead. He was at the time on the juice. In NO way what so ever am I saying that the roids speeded the growth of the cancer, but I remember specifically looking for information about your very question. I could not find any concrete (100%) evidence. Anyone with any data on this topic, I would be interested in reading about it

EPO is very suspect by the medical community as the increased oxogenation of tissues might increase tumor survival and agressivness.

Anabolic steroids have been described to provoke liver tumours; growth hormone or high levels of its mediator insulin -like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) have been associated with colon, breast, and prostate cancers. Actually, IGF-1 promotes cell cycle progression and inhibits apoptosis either by triggering other growth factors or by interacting with pathways which have an established role in carcinogenesis and cancer promotion.

This is my two cents and again i dont know yet if putting names on the board is against the rules or maybe it just bad taste to do so. But in the eighties there was a guy that was considered to be the best built power lifter in the world, a few year ago he got brain a glia brain tumor, these grow fast. reaaly fast like wiht in 6 weeks. its 2007 he didnt live but didnt blame anything or anybody. i myself think HGH is potnetilly more damaging abused the the anabolics. Given the fact so many older people are turning to HGH i would not say outright that there is increasd tumor synthesis attributed to usage. i mean realy if there was take a look around and decide how many of use should be a statistic. You catch cancer sevral times in your life sometime your body fends it off other times it doenst.
even people that smoke arent trully effected in number until they are older and they are increasing there dosage exponentially. the body is resiliant, What i now about as usage is they make you bigger stronger faster and smarter. Ive read about the stories heard about them but never seen them. I just turned 40 and after psot grad edcuation and being in the business for 17years i dont see the down side. So im in the process of getting back on. Its almost hypocrytical for there to be such positive stance to be taken for vitamin and mineral supplemation and yet HRT to be so combatative, especialy for men. For women HRT has gotten vary controversal. whe I got out of school very woman wiht hysterctomy HRT was absolute.
when ya get older your hormonal levels decrease production decreases and your left with less vitality and regunerative properties you had when your younger. That what these drugs do is they help you rebound red cells white cells protein synthise krebs cycle cory cycle beta oxidation brain cell preservation etc etc

It depends on what kind of tissue the tumor is. Some tissues have receptors for AAS some don't. I had lymphoma it does not have receptors for AAS. But something like Pancreatic cancer does. This is what started me using AAS. After juicing for a few years all signs of cancer where gone from my body. My doc couldn't believe it. Of course I didn't tell him I had used steroids to heal my body. What I did wouldn't work on other types of cancers. They are all different.

HGH is a different story. All cancers need HGH to grow. To the point that many cancers make their own HGH. If you add more it just like putting gasoline on a fire.

    Me too.
    Non Hodgkin's indolent follicular lymphoma.
Had chemo and rituxin, its been gone for 3 years now, and I also thought the juice helped it to disappear. (I did a few light cycles since chemo)
-Damn thats interesting, I thought the juice would help but not one Dr would give me a straight answer
