New to the forum and need some help please
Hello, my name is Shaine and I've been trying to get into gaining weight but no matter what I do, I can't gain weight.
I've gone to the gym 6 days a week and eat plenty of food threw out the day but I can't get any bigger. I'm 6 feet tall and I weigh 130 LBS. A few years ago, I was actually able to get up to 145 LBS but then I could not go any further. I stayed at 145 for around 3-4 months and all my measurments stayed the same no matter how much stronger I was getting.
I want to get into leagal steroids to help me gain this weight, but I don't exactly know much about them. I have been going threw some big problems in my life right now so I don't know if this would be a good time to start a new leif in my life, or if I should wait untill all this smooths its self out. If I wate, I don't exactly know how long that would take...
My brother takes anadrol (sp?) and he said its the best. Best with anger controle along with minimal breaking out. How would doing these impact my life and would I be able to controle my mood swings right now? If you need to know what is going on send me an e-mail and I'll be happy to explain, but this forum isn't about that.
My parents are both OK with me doing this because my weight has always been an issue my whole life. I'm 18 and if you guys feel I'm too young to do this thats fine with me, I'd just like to have some input on how to gain weight
Any and ALL help is greatly appreciated.
Shaine

Welcome to the board.
At 18 your natural testosterone levels are plenty high, steroids are not your answer.
If you would, take the time to list your entire daily diet and we will help point you in the right direction to help you pack on some nice lean pounds.

My stress levels are extreemely high and for the past 2 weeks, I've been going on around 300-800 cal a day. My weight dropped down to 119 a week and a half ago but now back up to 130ish. My mom and I are going to a nutrition office thinggy on Wed to see what exactly I need, and what I need to do.
I'm starting to drink protien shakes and power bars and eating alot of eggs. Today i probably had around 1500cal so I know as long as I can basically live off this stuff then I'll bo OK My cousin and I are going to the gym everyday but since I wasn't eating, my body was eating its self to give its self energy to work out.
I have an extremely fast motabalism so the thing that I worry about most is when i got up to 145 I was eating roughly 4k cal a day but still wasn't gaining weight, how can I over come this?

consistently eat around 3500-4000 calories a day, shoot for 40% from protein, 40% from complex carbs, and 20% from fats, roughly. Break this up into 6 or 7 clean meals a day. Stay away from junk food, excess sugars, etc. To eat to grow takes dedication, it isn't easy, isn't convenient, and is definitely not cheap, but it works.
Head to the diet forum and read up on bulking diets, that's where you need to start.

You want to get the majority of your nutrition from whole foods. Shakes and such have their place but they are no replacement for healthy foods. If I remember correctly muscle milk is loaded with sugar, although I'm not positive about that. I use Isopure Zero Carb protein, but still prefer chicken, fish, or beef, etc. for my main protein source.

OK, my dad is a steak man, and I love tuna so that will be good there. Mom said that Muscle milk had around 19 sugar or someting like that. So I don't exactly know what sugar levels are high or low. I was at a party on saturday, and this kid told me about the shake he drinks, it comes in a can like the Monster energy drinks but it has 50 protien 230+ cal and 49 carb I didn't even think to look at the sugars...

OK, are clean cals from fish, chicken, and beef basically, anything but junk food?
The problem is, I live with my family, and I have 2 younger step bros that eat EVERYTHING they can get their hands on, no matter if its from Appricots or Zucini (A-Z) My dad is going to get me a fridge this week so that will help alot.

Well no you shouldn't eat anything like that as those guys weigh over 200lbs. You weigh around 130lbs at the age of 18 and at 6ft. Eat a lot and eat healthy and lift you will gain. Look at something you can handle, as suggested before 3k cals 4k might be a bit much especially at 130lbs. I weigh 140 at 5'5 my breakfast consists of oats, eggs, juice and my protein shake. After that I will snack on something or have a small salad with grilled chicken, then it is off to lunch 2 hours later. You have to stay consistent as Imagetbigger said. Legal steroids won't do anything also to answer your question. GL

calculate what your body needs to maintain current weight. this came from a sticky in the diet forum:
Harris Benedict Formula for Men
BMR = 66 + (13.7 X weight in kilos) + (5 X height in cm) - (6.8 X age in years)
Notes:
1 inch = 2.54 cm.
1 kilogram = 2.2 lbs.
Example of BMR
You are 25 years old
You are 6 feet tall
Your weight is 220 pounds
Your BMR is 66 + (1370) + (914) - (170) = 2180 calories
Harris Benedict Formula for Men - STEP 2
To determine your total daily calorie needs, now multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor, as follows:
If you are Sedentary - little or no exercise
Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.2
- If you are Lightly Active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week)
Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.375
- If you are Moderately Active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week)
Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.55
- If you are Very Active = BMR X 1.725 (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days/week)
Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.725
- If you are Extra Active (very hard daily exercise/sports & physical job or 2X day training)
Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.9
Total Calorie Needs Example
If you are lightly active, multiply your BMR (2180) by 1.375 = 2997
Your total daily calorie requirement is therefore 2997 calories.
This is the total number of calories you need in order to MAINTAIN your current weight.
If you want to gain body weight, you must consume more calories than you burn. One pound of body weight is roughly equivalent to 3500 calories, so eating an extra 500 calories per day will cause you to gain one pound a week. Etc….

sleep is very very important... not just any type of sleep deep sleep... its when you release growth hormones when your a state of deep sleep... which i dont remember how long it is its like 30 min. if your full 8 hour of sleep when ur in that.. u may want to read up on that not to sure... i had the same problem as you but im not 6 ft. more like 5 7 i was stuck at 130... i started slowly increasing my calorie intake u cant go from 1k calories 3k overnight... you need steadly increase it... add an extra meal everyday or an extra piece of chicken or another egg do not try to over due it because you will get frustrated when you dont see results and want to quit... a tip i can give u is squat legs are larges muscle in body and it will make you HUNGRY!!!! GL.. p.s. read the diet forum and take pieces from it...
