    questions on pins

soo, I am using the regular pins that do not have detachable needles. what kind do you get so you can switch needles for drawing and shooting? I would like to start drawing and shooting with different pins but am a little confused on which ones to get... do you need to change the syringe each time even though you're using a new needle?

What you are looking for is seperate needles and seperate syringes. That way you can draw using a larger pin and inject using a smaller one... It is also more hygenic as when you push your pin through that rubber stopper it becomes dull and potentially unsterile...

I have never seen syringes with permanently attached needles. If you need some that you can swap the needles on, click on the banner on the top right of the screen.
And yes, you need to use a new syringe (and needle) each time you inject. My recommendation would be to get some 3cc syringes with 21g needles for drawing. Then get some 23g 1 1/2" needles for glutes and 25g 1" for delts, quads etc. Needles and pins are cheap, don't try to save your money here.

I don't know where you get the unsterile part from. If the rubber stopper is swabbed with alcohol there should be no problem with contaminating the needle. I do agree about the needle getting dulled from the rubber stopper. Use a new one for injection.

I'm not being cheap I am just trying to understand the concept. If the syringe is steril and you put a sterile solution into it.. do you still need to replace it even though you're replacing the needle? I assume yes but it would seem to be reusable... so I should buy like 100 syringes and 200+ needles then, correct?

No do not reuse a syringe even if it seems to make since. I use the same size needle to draw with as I would to inject. I use 22g 1.5in for glutes, and 23g 1in for shoulders and quads. Just draw with one needle, take it off and inject with another, then throw both needles, and syringe away.

the only syringes I've used where the needles aren't removable are insulin syringes, is that what you were referring to?

I don't know what your cycle plan is, so I can't tell you how many syringes and needles to buy. Like I said earlier, buy the number of syringes w/ needles that you need, use this needle to draw with. Then swap the needle for a new one for injection.
Syringes can become contaminated during injection. When you aspirate , there is a chance of blood entering the syringe and contaminating it.

Yes, that ratio would be used for proper technique. 1 needle to draw, one syringe to fill and 1 needle to inject - 2 needles/1 syringe- throw away all three after use.

Look around for proper injection technique. Not something you want to take lightly

I understand proper injection technique and have read it.. that's why I'm looking into getting better pins thanks for all the help guys.

I'll be ordering a bunch of pins soon. The pins I have I got from the Mexi-Vet I got my gear from.. it was a big box of 3cc syringes w/ needles already attached.
