Deca and Tendonitis
I am having a hard time getting rid of tendonitis in my elbow. I plan on doing another cycle in January if I can get the pain to go away. However, I heard that deca helps to strengthen your tendons and adding it to my next cycle might help "cure" my elbow pain. Anyone have an opinion on this?
I haven't been able to work out in three weeks and I just finished my pct from a 12 week test only cycle just a few weeks ago...it is KILLING me!!

Deca can help joint pain, but this is mostly in comparison to AAS like winstrol and eq that are notorious for joint pain. It is not a cure. You have an injury you need to rest, eat plenty of fat in the diet, and modify training until you are over it.
Then deca might be a good option for a subsequent cycle. But thinking its going to solve your injury problem is dubious.

bro i know that ur in pain... but your in your PCT stage or post PCT stage this is very important for you to keep those hard earned gains... you need to keep working out and eating right... do exercises that don't bother your elbow and tendonitis... wear a brace, or a wrap to help out with the pain... now is a crucial time for you to keep those gains... you gotta stay in the gym my brotha... get in there and do exercises on machines and not free weights... i feel that free weights put more stress on the joints and tendons then machines that limit ur motion do... go to the injury forum of this site and check out what other members with the same type of injuries are doin to stay in the gym and what exercises they are doin... im sure you can get some help there.... good luck my brotha... don't push too hard, be smart and don't injure urself worse... be good mann and good luck!

It is kind of funny that I can bench close to 300 lbs but I can't grip a 2 litre to pour me a diet soda???

Believe it or not I never had any joint pain at all until I ran Deca in a cycle. My last cycle with 200mg Deca a week is when I started having a little bit of elbow pain, and a TON of wrist pain. Must be coincidence....

Pesonally I have found that dec alleviates some of my joint pain, but I don't believe it is a cure.
J*U*icEd advice is good, work the machines protect the joint.
Also, sometimes tendinitis can be caused by squeezing the bar to hard during your lifts, loosen your grip a bit it may help.

i currently have the same problem. my doc prescibed celebrex (NSAI). it appears to be working, he said if doesn't work then a shot of cortisone will definitely do the trick. he said to give it 2 weeks first.

Update!
This week was my first week back in the gym (well my basement ) and my elbow is feeling great! I am having very little pain and the only thing I am doing is putting ice on it about 15 minutes a day. The only time I really feel any pain is when I do my forearm exercises in an effort to build the muscle around the joint and tendons in that area. This has been going on since the beginning of August and when the pain got so bad I had to stop lifting, the following steps helped me to the point were it is almost completely gone away:
Week One - Rest (no lifting at all)
Week Two - Prednisone for one week and ice (no lifting)
Week Three - Rehab exercises and stretching specifically for my elbow (15 minutes ed) followed by ice for 20 minutes (no other lifting)
Although the pain is not completely gone, I feel very confident that it will be in just a few weeks. I continue to do the rehab exercises in between sets when I work out and that seems to be helping.
This might not work for everybody but it is worth a try!

i was getting cortizone shots in my knee for a really bad internal injury from a really bad motorcycle accident, and they were working wonders... that could be an option for u... but i felt the long ass like 2 1/2 inch needle touchin weird places in my knee... lol... and it was sore for acouple days, but for a month after that none of the regular pain...
and yea those upright rows will kill ur elbows... but you said you had pain with delt exercises like lateral lifts and such... you should try not locking your elbows when performing this exercise... ull find you will have minimal if not any pain at all... even with straight (in front) antierior delt lifts you shouldn't lock your elbows... and try to use a straight bar when doin these, not dumbells... when you don't lock your elbows during these exercises it doesn't put strain on the elbow (tendon or ligimints)... im glad ur feeling better tho... don't go to heavy too quick... build up the weight from rehab (light) weights when you feel your body can take it... listen to your body and don't hurt yourself worse.... good luck my man....

I've had jumpers knee, which is tendonitis just below my kneecap for 6 months or so about a year back. Deca and test actually made it worse, the specialist I saw told me that 'roids can damage tendon fibres. I dunno whteher I believe that.
Anyways, after 8 weeks of HGH a few months back my knee is perfect again.
That's my experience...

I'm not saying do HGH, I'm just saying it cured my tendonitis. Research tons on HGH before you take the leap. Whilst you're researching save the money cos it's darn expensive!
I'm not 100% but I do believe it can cause tumours to grow.

i ripped a tendon when i was on Omnajren 250. It took 5 months of no exercise to fully recover....thank god. But if i had some Decca back then i would have taken it because its suppose to be a good anti-inflamitory. Also its a joint lubricator. It may have helped lube the tendons so they slide better.

Didn't know it was an anti-inflammatory?
