HCG is in short supply for USA pharmacy

Yep, we were at the doc office today doing a Non stress test for my wife and baby (it's a fertility clinic as well)

the nurse mentioned that she couldn't find any HCG at any pharmacy (they use it to increase fertility in women who would have thunk it) and asked if i knew why...

I said, because china shut down production and now the USA clinics are hard hit...

she said "exactly, all those baseball players have done it to us"

I was actually surprised that a clinic that purchases from an approved inspected and controlled pharmacies would have an issue finding supplies..

But sure enough, they can't get it, even doing a national inquiry..

hcg does NOT increase fertility in women, all it does is it makes the womans body release the egg when the doc thinks it is mature

when a woman is infertile ,she has no eggs hcg is not used to make eggs, i have been through 4 iui and 4 ivf, hcg is the last thing a fertility clinic would be worried about,in the U.S. call a place called schrafts I am sure they will have in stock but not cheap

LoL, that statement contradicts itself

"LH surge triggers ovulation. HCG can substitute for LH in this function."

...causing a egg to be released, increasing the chance of conception, thus helping to be more fertile

if she produced no eggs then she would be sterile, then nothing could cause pregnancy except if she got an embryo implanted

Fertility clinics wouldn't use meds if she was completely sterile

cool.. actually they use the HCG in fertility clinics to force the ovulation, so they have the exact timing for the other drugs..

I know as well, since we did the invetro..

Unfortunetly for us it did not work.. we stopped after trying for 3 years..

wife went to a new endo and (thyroid was removed) and she increased her meds, and bam.. she was prego..

we are expecting in the next 3 weeks..

Our suggestion for everyone is to ensure they see an endo (thyroid or not) and ensure that the woman's hormones are at a level that she can get pregnant..

obviously you have no idea, they will use clomid, first if still nothing, they will use follistim and menopur, then if still nothing then you can say she is sterile, and even then you do not need an embryo , you can get a donor egg, I have been through enough of this shit first hand, so i know what i am talking about

we did the wash and turkey baster (that's what i called it) sorry don't know the name, just did my part..

8 times, then did the invetro (egg collection and artificial fertilization) they then put it in an incubator and implant a few days later.. the proceedure that was so costly..

was unsuccessful..

My sperm count was up to 64 million with very good motility (after 50mg clomid and HCG treatment) but still no good..

Wife went to 125 mcg of thyroid T3 (can't remember the name) and sure enough.. bam.. prego.. healthy baby boy..

due any day now..

...The (donated) egg is very often fertilized with the donor sperm before implanting to greatly increase the chances of conception...a fertilized egg is an Embryo....

HCG does not increase fertility on a woman if she has no eggs, all it will do is release an egg if there is one if there is not it serves no purpose what so ever! secondly I was going to do donor egg if my wifes' eggs were no good, why would I use a donor sperm if my sperm was fine:??! are you nuts that i would have another man father my child, if my sperm was perfectly fine, you obviously have absolutely no experience nor intelligence in this matter!

Donor sperm = sperm they use to fertilize the egg. It could be "donated" by you, or it could be "donated" by someone in a fertility clinic...lighten up man....you are taking this waaayyy too seriously. I'm not threatening your manhood here

6 days there were 3 that were implanted..
but to no avail.. one of the most depressing days of my life was when my wife started her period 10 days later.. sad indeed.. she had bought little booties to show me an announcement that she was pregnant.. but i just held her and we cried..

we stopped trying after that, we have 2 grand children 2 yrs old and 9 month old that we take care of 2 days a week, so our kid needs were being met..

then 3 months after the failed proceedure we were prego..

it's been a very crazy year..

im getting frustrated because you have no idea what you are talking about, and i assume spy would know just like i do if he went through it, donor sperm is sperm that is anon. donated (all you get to look at is baby or childhood pics to protect the donor identity) or it could be a brother,friend, but when you as the spouse of the woman use your own spem it is never refered to as donor sperm,everything is so monitored when you give your sperm not to mess you up with anyone, this is an extremely serious matter and if the clinic makes a mistake the can be sued for millions!

been through that my friend, we did 3 times 3 day transfer and 1 time 6 day blastocyst..4 embryos the first 3 times and 1 embryo the last time, alot of clinics now opt for icsi without even giving the sperm a chance which in my opinion and many experts raises the chance of downs and other illnesses

I took HCG today and no egg?? Why is that? Where would my egg come from? What will my egg look like? Will my H*** took with it make my egg bigger?

Good luck on the fertility seriously though. I sure it will prove successful soon.....god bless!
