injection question

Hey, my sister is an LVN and has been giving me the shots and does it on the top of the glutes, but I saw on a site to inject in the ass cheek. Is there a difference?

i dont really understand what u mean. the top of your glutes is your ass cheek... but yea. u should be towards the upper and outer of your glute. nice sister for injecting you!

there are different parts of the gute to inject, you're fine.

GLUTES








Instructions:
The above 2 photos indicate the injection locations for the glutes.

Inject directly into the middle of the upper outer quadrant of the glute.
Injecting anywhere else in the glute risks hitting the sciatic nerve.

23gauge to 25gauge 1.25 inch (32mm) to 1.5 inch (38mm) long needles are adequate.
