colesterol test results

I just got the results back from my colesterol test that I got as part of a physical. the total was 144 which the doctor said was excellent but
the split was LDL 120 HDL 24 the doctor said that any hdl reading below 30-35 was not good but because my overall was so low he said he wasn't concerned. I did not tell him I was useing AS but I think he might have suspected from looking at me. I know AS use lowers HDL and I was wondering if anyone else has had a reading this low and what I can do to bring it up besides stopping AS. Any help you guys can give me would be great. thanks ddrew.

Unfortunately AAS effect cholesterol counts in many ways. I would take the test again while off and see if those counts level out. I wouldn't be very concerned at this time I have seen much worse then that on readings.
