high blood pressure
i went to the doctor today and found out i have high blood pressure. it was 148/108 i think. after she took my blood pressure she asked if i did drugs. i told her the truth saying that i just finished a cycle of testosterone and dianabol . i got a nice long lecture on the dangers of steroids . she's having me come back on friday for a blood test and unirnalysis. she prescribed me norvasc at 5mg/day.
my cycle looked like this:
wk1-4: 50mg/day dbol
wk1-12: 750mg/wk omnadren
my last shot was december 6th and i started my pct december 24th. i only have 10 more days of pct. is it normal for blood pressure to still be that high this long after my cycle? i probably have bad cholesterol and high liver values. but i have to wait till i get the blood test.
my pct looks like this:
day1-30: 100mg/ed clomid
day1-30: 20mg/ed nolva
day1-30: .25mg arimidex

tell her you want to wait a week or so and explain to her why and make sure you tell her that you want her to test all your hormone levels too..if she bitches, find a new doc

Thats high, but during PCT should he sweat it?
"Medical guidelines state that a normal blood pressure for most adults is less than 120/80 mm Hg. Drug treatment is recommended if your blood pressure is at or above 140/90 mm Hg."

my doc also wants me to do a 24 hour urine collection. what do they check for in your urine? can they tell if your kidney's are functioning properly by examining your urine.

you can easily drop your BP by 10pts on both top and bottom by watching your sodium and caffeine intake for a few days.

I'm not your doctor but...........
Kidney Failure could be caused by high BP. One early symptoms of KF is less urine output than normal. Some very early cases of KF may even do not showed significant sign or symptom.
If you worry about that, just ask for blood tests which the most important are Blood Ureum and Creatinin. However, if you have lot of muscle mass or on high protein diit the ureum level will slightly increased.

ive been on bp meds for 10 days now and my bp is still high. how long do these meds take to start working? im on norvasc at 5mg/ed. i got a bp monitor and just took my blood pressure. it's still about 150/110. two cycles ago i did test/eq. i took 750mg/wk test c for 16 weeks and 600mg/wk EQ for 14 weeks. i've read that eq is known for raising bp because it increases your rbc. is this true? will donating blood help reduce my bp? i dont think my blood pressure problems are directly from steroids tho. i hardly do any cardio cause i lose too much weight when i do and feel small and weak. i know i have to start doing it tho and i gotta control my sodium and caffeine intake. other then that do you have any suggestions? should i be worried? im going to the doc on monday to get blood work done and bp rechecked. i'll post how that all goes when it comes.

you're blood pressure can fluctuate from so many things it would be really hard to tell if it was from the AS unless you had a baseline prior to starting. As stated sodium, water intake, caffeine can all lead to high BP not to mention family history and all that fun stuff. I believe your BP is only considered slightly elevated although the standard they are using now is 120ish/80. I work in EMS and i've seen people who are perfectly fine with no cardiac history no high choleserol who noramlly run in the 130-140 range. As far as the norvasc i think those drugs can take some time to work. for some reason i wanna say a month but im not 100% sure.
Im not going to say dont use the BP med cause obviously your doctor felt it may be beneficial. I'd really try to increas the water intake and try to cut back on the sodium see if that helps and throw in some cardio. if things start coming way down maybe suggest getting off it and seeing how things are.

if its a wrist one i wouldnt trust it, i had one and it gave crazy readings bro, my doc used to use one as well till he noticed it always gave high readings, anyway i do believe the ones that go round the arm are ok, so by the specs i couldnt see which one it was

it's been 2 weeks since ive been on high bp meds and my bp is still high. the doc upped my dosage to 10mg/ed norvasc. I gave blood to get tested today also. i just finished my 4 week pct one week ago. She's doing a complete wellness profile and checking testosterone free and total. im kinda worried about my cholesterol since my bp is high. isnt it common for cholesterol to be high when your bp is high? im also worried about my liver values. i kick started my cycle back in september with 4 weeks of dbol at 50mg/ed. do injectables affect your liver that much? anyway im just updating everything to let you guys know how the tests come back and to make sure im alright.
the doc didnt even ask me to diet or cardio when she first saw i had high bp. she asked me right away if i took steroids or other drugs. when i told her that she immediately put me on meds. is she just trying to make the pharmaceutical companies rich? my bp is about 160/100 as of today.

i dont think high blood pressure is related to high cholesterol but im not positive, although after a cycle with an oral and higher dose of test theres a good chance your values are all effed up, let us know what they come back at

my whole family has high bp. both my brothers who are 24 and 26 have it too. i dont think steroids are the primary factor that affected my bp. but it certainly didnt help. will my testosterone levels be aright you think one week after pct?
week1-4: 100mg clomid everyday
week1-4: .25mg arimidex everyday
week1-4: 20mg novla everyday
