    Thumbs up should i go on a cycle

    i'm 6 feet 2 inchs
    i weigh 250
    my goals are to put on some noticable mass

    i do alot of arms and i cant seem to gain any mass, i usally do 5-6 sets of curls
    prechur curls
    concintration curls
    hammers
    peaking curls
    straight bar curls
    cable cross curls
    i do most of these on tuesdays, i have no problem on putting mass on any where else besides my bicepts, let me know what you think

    your bicep problem may be because of overtraining....IMO...i'm not sure if you were saying that you do all those exercises on tuesday, or if you just rotate some in on tuesdays....the rule i've gone by is no more than 3 exercises per muscle, but thats a very generic theory...and of course you can switch up what actual exercise you do each week...what other muscle group(s) do you work on tuesday? If you don't know what i'm talking abuot when i say to do the push/pull routine drop me a private message or do some more research....

    well then w/out seeing the whole story (your diet for example), then i'd say cut back on your bicep routine- which is exactly what you probably don't want to hear. I know how it is man, its tough to get into your mind that less can actually be more in some circumstances...Other advice i can give you is make sure you're sending your muscle into complete failure....don't quit on that third set because u've just done you're tenth rep....pump out 16 till your arms die, then next week add weight....i do heavy as i can for three sets, trying to pump out @ least 6 reps in each set....normally i can get about 10 the first set, 6-8 the next, then 4-6 on the 3rd set...

    A well known fact is that it is pointless training for any longer than 40-45 mins, because the body then starts using the muscle for fuel, or eating the muscle shall we say. Maybe this is a problem? Rest time is an integral part of growing muscle, repairing and letting them grow. Maybe a combination of over training and training for too long?!

    Dude I know that it probably is a fact ... but seriously I train for an hour a day and I am a huge bastid... i dont think i am eating my muscle and if I am... well cool I am still big anyways... I know rest is the biggest part next to eating right for muscle growth but I didn't get 24 inch arms just doing 40 minutes a day ... ok ok ok I am getting ahead of myself... they are 23 5/8" but still pretty close.. i just dont believe in that theory... not to mention the rest of my body is big.. I am just using the arms for an example here. So whatever about facts if you are making continuous solid gains who cares how much training you are doing as long as the gains are coming right??? Right !!

    Well truthfully you never want to go past 1 1/2 hours. 45 minutes is a little on the short side. I usually finish my workouts in an hour.

    6'2 250 and you're trying to put on mass??? u already have mass what exactly are u aiming for?

    yea i have a lil belly but even if i didnt have that i still think they'd be tiny and trust me when i say i've been workin hard to get rid of my belly, but i dont know what my bodyfat % is
