    Probably a dumb question

    Ok, I have not started doing any cycles yet because I am still working on a consistant diet and exercise program. But, I have been taking DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) for a while now.

    I know DHEA is not a real AAS, but I have read that it promotes similar, yet much less noticable effects. My question is this, if it is similar in the sense that it creates muscle mass like AAS, should it be cycled?

    I can't find any information about the use of DHEA, and I have been taking about 500mg a week. Like I said, I am not claiming this to be a real steroid , but if anyone can give me some info about it, that would be great.

    Oh yeah, I have noticed that when I take it, it gives me some mood changes (easily irritated), and restlessness at night.

    This should be in the supplement forum.

    DHEA gets turned into testosterone in the human body if that's what your asking.

    Have you read the label? It should tell you if you need to cycle it or not.

    dude, you probably bought this stuff at wal-mart or something didn't you? I'm not too sure of the recommended doses on this stuff, cuz usually people only 40 years old and older take this as a dietary supplement. But 500mgs/wk of this stuff sounds like alot. I would supplement every supplement you take except for your vitamins and whey protein. But imo, just shoot some test you will be much happier, and the irration is probably placebo.

    What in the hell kind of response is this? You would supplement every supplement! Just shoot some test!! The irritation is placebo!! WTF!!!

    hehehe....Okay lighten up on him.

    hey g4ripped, dhea is a precursor to precursor hormones. Among testosterone , it can turn into any myriad of hormones, some anabolic , some not. It is a 'mother hormone.' Prolly getting nothing out of it as far as gains and would prolly get more with a prohormone which IMHO suck, so just suck it up, save a few $$ and get some testosterone, or save a few hundred and get some juices to stack.

    I agree with NJord on this one. The guy clearly states that he wants to work on his diet and exercise before going on a cycle. Smart move. But ole Matto and Road apple say **** that just shoot up some test. This is were the general population gets bad impressions of steroids . Dude, keep training hard and eating correctly, when you are ready to juice, you can juice. As for supplements, it is up to you what to use as alot of it is trial and error in my mind. Good Luck
