Elbows are killing me...any suggestions?
..This may sound stupid, but it came from a couple of meatheads at the gym....Im taking 200mgs of Cyp every week (HRT) and every since I started this amount, my elbows just ache, to the point I cant do heavy weights any longer.....when I was talking about this at the gym, the aches not the Cyp, a couple guys kinda smirked and said, "Get some Deca to lube those joints, works everytime".....question, is the test causing this and second, does Deca "lube" or help this problem......thanks in advance for any suggestions

Yes deca can help alleviate the pain in the joints but your meathead friends at the gym seem to know nothing in regards to dosages and the fact that Deca is a poten AAS so you may want to read up on it. Ive had some pain in the joints once in a while on test, thinking it could be caused from the weight increase that i was lifting so there is more stress on the joints....for me anyways.

Yeah, read up on it some, turned me off pretty quick since I am trying to lose some body fat and water retention isnt a good thing...plus...not wanting to introduce any thing else "really" in the form of a AS unless I have to... .curious if there is anything else that will help the pain?

Almost forgot, there are many OTC vitamins and supplements that you can take for joint pain that work and as stated in the above post, glucosamine, fish oil, *****-3, etc, glutamine, etc....the list goes on. Anways, introducing another compound just for joint pain is not ideal so go for the natural supplements and warm up as stated.

Tiger balm
"Tiger Balm" is a nice topical ointment I use prior to training if I am feeling a little stiff/sore. It has been on the market for 100 years. My Grandmother always had a glass jar of it in the closet and that is how I discovered it.
Active ingredients :
Camphor 1%
Menthol 10%
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Dont go tooo crazy with the pain killers. Eventually you wont be lifting with out them. I find just spending 10 mins warming up my whole body helps everything out.
Lots of water prior and during.

Well not only does it hurt while lifting, but it hurts all the time, even when I have slacked off and not worked out in a few days.....as far as lifting heavy, I havent even been able to get back to where I was before I started the test...example would be bench press.....normally would work out with 230-235, 3 sets of 10, I cant even finish a single set of 150 due to the pain....I know, get thru it ***** !!....but its to the point my arm fails...lot easy to control a buck fitty when it happens.....just strange I guess that they hurt so much....worse time when they hurt is during the day when I am "working".......well driving actually.....my right arm sits on the armrest for more than 5 mins and I cant straighten it out to change the radio......when I do become active, meaning moving around and not actually lifting anything, I dont notice the pain so much, but when I got to swing a pipe wrench, I not only feel like a puss, but look like one as well wincing. I'll try some of the suggestions but it is define. not from over training, thats for sure.

Hmmm... sounds like you may have ripped yor muscle a bit or inadvertantly stretched a tendon in your bi's.
when it hurts what exactly are you doing? are you going from a palm face down position to a palm up position? If that hurts it could be muscle fibers and/or tendon for the supinator. if it just hurts when you do the large movement of palm facing shoulder and doing a bi curl then I would think that the injury is more centralized in the bi area.
does it hurt on the bi muscle? tendon above the elbow that connects the bi to the forearm? or in the elbow itself?

Tendonitis in the elbows is a B I T C H!!!!
I compete in Powerlifting, all the guys at the PL gym struggle with it. We found that the following works:
1. Intelligent training ( not overloading tendons beyond their capability )
2. ICE ICE ICE
3. Anti-inflamitories
4. Widening our grip on the squat bar
5. GPP training ( General Physical Preparedness )
6. Proper stretching/warm up before training
7. ADEQUATE SLEEP/ OFF TIME
Hope that helps

I use to have bad aches in my left elbow. I did 5 kits of GH and it went away. That was over a year ago now. Thank God for GH, it's the healer from heaven. I believe it repaired and healed the tendon that was causing the pain in the elbow. I no longer have any kind of pain and my arms have grown another inch over the past year from the hard training on my bis/tris that I can now do again.
I also supp MSM and 0mega 3's and those help too. But GH was the answer for me.Last edited by Seattle Junk; 01-31-2008 at 03:01 AM.

surgery is a last ditch effort to help someone who can barely get through anything without extreeme pain. I have family members and friends that have had surgery on knees and elbows. They all say not to have it done unless its just so damn hard to get through the day normally. Surgery, in a lot of cases, will help a bad sacebecome better, but it will NOT make the pain go away. In all the instances I have seen anyway.

Check out Cissus RX by USP it's a supplement that works great on tendonitis. I'm speaking from personal experience.

sometime elbows can hurt if they are moving more weight than expected during a cycle and the muscles are growing faster than the tendons and ligament sh ave time to get stronger . if muscles grow faster than what the ligaments can be used to that spells pain
