gyno 1 year after a cycle?

    Edited :

This thread is delayed gyno investigation in process. No one has been able to give me a definite answer on why it happens after successful PCTs. So far the best theory is estrogen storage in fat causing problems later down the road, more or less for folks with high BF (postulated by magicstick). Please skip to post #30, and maybe information from those of you who have been victimized by the insidious and abominable "delayed gyno" will help me and everyone else get a little more informed and maybe avoid it ourselves.

If any rational hypothesis comes to mind, please post.

    Come, let us speculate.......

i developed gyno months after a cycle years ago and got it cut out. i'm not sure if there is a way to see it coming or not that far afterward.

thats actually weird that you say that after a cycle i ran last november of 06, it was a ten week test prop 100mgs ed.. i had no signs of gyno and had a very succesful pct.... i ran nolva and some hcg... no signs of gyno at all untill around 7 months later and then up to a year later i started to feel a very small slight bump in my right nipple, thats obv still there.... but i had no signs through out cycle or even after pct...

How much did it cost to get it cut out. Is there a way to get around having it considered like an optional surgery so insurance can cover it?

I've been told to say it's "painful gynecomastia." Some guys are getting it covered that way.

could happen if one had a higher bf percentage during cycle. Think of it like any other drug. It gets stored in your fat cells. When you burn those cells it is released back into the sysytem, granted the amount needed to cause gyno or otherwise seems (to me at least) to be a lot. I suppose it is possible.

I'm seriously considering running my tamox at a low dose for a year. This is not as rare as I thought. I need to research long term sides of tamox

long term sides: thrombosis leading to heart attack, stroke, or pulmonary embolism; prostate enlargement; a bunch of gynecological things; depression; hair and nail thinning; cornea and retina damage; liver cancer.

These sides (the ones applicable to women) were said to have taken place in less than 10% of cancer patients, who were, by the way, using tamoxifen for up to 5 years.

So, I'm still thinking about running it at a regular dose for 2 months and a light dose (5mg ed) for the remaining 10 months.

Who wishes to opine on the matter?

my reasoning is this: I'm 22 and have practically no risk factors for heart disease, I'm not a post menopausal woman running this for 5 years at a cancer-treatment dose, the eye damage is extremely rare and "reversible", and I don't have a uterus.

It's been used on men in clinical studies with some success (months at a time).

I figure i'll run it like I said and take a baby aspirin ed just to have one up on the risk of thrombosis.

Bump..i'm very interested in this as well since I haven't cycled in 2 years, after my pct I developed gyno in my right nipple that's still there, but just recently I feel the same sensitivity as before with a tiny lump growing this time, in the left nipple. Anyone have any info on delayed gyno?

So, what exactly is the deal with gyno?? If u arent pre-disposed to it then it will NEVER affect you, or a chance ALWAYS exists depending upon dosage, duration, etc?? how does gyno work exactly?? If ur naturally a fatty are u predisposed to it??

I am three months out from my second cycle and a few weeks ago I noticed a lump under my nipple. I'm pissed! I did tamox throughout and a successful pct and I still got it!

anon. adex won't help. The only AI that will reverse it is letro. IMO adex won't reverse it then you'll have an estro rebound afterward that might even make it worse. Some of the old timers I talk to, a bunch of lifters in AZ who dont go to forums, well they all say 8-12 of weeks of nolva normally clears their shi* up....letro didnt help me and i don't want to throw off my hormones any longer cuz that just leads to more problems (like my hair turning RED!).

    ^^^^^^^

Okay, this issue keeps coming up and I want to see if I can get a better idea of what's at the bottom of it.

For those of you who have gotten gyno any time AFTER a cycle, please state what your PCT was, how long after the cycle you got it, and whether you were "bridging" with anything, as well as what your BF was at the time and/or how it changed in the period from the beginning of your cycle to the time you got gyno. This is very important to all of us so if you have any relevant experience, please make this thread your NY Times bestseller.

sorry if this is the wrong forum, but Steorids Q&A gets more views, so whatev. Move it if you want.

Again, this is an important issue, at least by my estimation, and all participation will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance
