Male pattern baldness.
Hello,
If my maternal grandfather died at 87 with a full head of thick, white hair is it safe to say that I don't have a genetic disposition towards male pattern baldness and therefore would be immune to DHT conversion on Test C?

Not necessarily. You could still have inherited it from the other side of your family or even from a family member further down the line.

u can still have mbp issues even if everyone in your family has hair. It could just be the case that you have genes which are androgen sensitive or there could be some immune system issues which can get triggered when in contact with androgens... . I know someone who started losing hair big time after using AAS when no one in his family & grandparents side (on both sides) have any hair issue. Looking at the family for mbp genes gives a good idea but it's not a fullproof way to know if you will have hair issues or not. There are more factors too. You should look at some specialized hair forums, many hair specialists there who know this subject very well and this Q has been answered a lot too...
It's a game of trail and error, keep using gear until you see your hairline start to take a hit then either shave or becomes like us - try to hang on to every last hair even if it means using glue to stick it back on the scalp!

My grandpa had like 15 hairs on his head when he died at age 89 (mother's side)
My other grandpa had like 17 hairs on his head when he died at age 97 (dad's side)
My dad and all his brothers have a full head of hair. My mom's brother has a full head of hair. My brother has a full head of hair and a half that really makes me jealous.
I began thinning and losing my hair at age 16.
