    I had something similar happen with a quad injection...massaged the area for 1/2 hour and watched it closely and it was fine.

    bump for others who shoot glutes. not me.

    I wouldn't worry too much about it. You obviously hit some blood vessel going in. The bumb could just be a little hematoma from the punctured vessel. Should go away in a day or two.

    I also had something like that also happen to me, just like big_dubya33 said, I would massage the area between 15-30 min, that is what I did from that day on and never had a problem again.
