Noob here with some questions
I've been doing a lot of reading on this board and others and decided to join today. Seems like there is a great deal of information and knowledge on this forum. Anyway, just to give everyone a little history on myself, I'm a 47 year old male who has been lifting off and on most of my life. In my 20-30's I was in pretty good shape, then I stopped for 17 years and grew fat. I'm 5'9 today and 192lbs, was 212 but have been on a diet for quite sometime now.
What got me motivated and back into bodybuilding was a recent visit to my Doctor. My blood work showed that I have a testosterone deficiency. Estrogen was fine but my T levels were 245. The Doctor put me on Androgel which I've been on now for about two weeks. Yesterday, I started my first cycle 250mg Testosterone e injection. Guess you could say I just popped my cherry. Thus my first question: Is there any problem mixing the Androgel with T-e? The plan is to do 250mg injections every 14-days and add the prescribed Androgel daily for a 10-week cycle. Lastly, I have already begun a strict workout program lifting heavy 4-5days a week and eating a clean 3000 cals daily.
What kind of results can I expect to see from this combination? I'd like to put on some size, do you think this will do it or do I need to up the dose and eat more?
Thanks... Danny

hello there my middle aged friend. welcome to the age of seeing our mortality. First of all you said you you just got back into the gym. using more than what your doc perscribed for you and if you just started working out again after a long layoff you may be setting yourself up for an injury. I would hold off on using anything more than what the doc gave you untill you have put in some time (six months minimum steady ) at the gym. if you take an aas your muscles will be stronger than your tendons and joints and bones and other hard tissue. Another thing is if your body fat index is 12% or more the side effects will be more pronounced. be careful

sounds good on the strength. you still need to loose some weight. the side effects will get you for sure with that much body fat;
and do you have a pct in place? To loose fat diet diet diet. try an mrp. one for breakfast one for lunch and a sinsible dinner. you need 2-21/2 grams of quality protien per body pound. this alone will get you your goal without the aas.
