IMO you should drop a bit more bodyfat before go through a bulk cycle.
Work on a cutting diet and a cardio plan. You could have some negative issues if your bf is too high while on cycle.

A bulking cycle will probably make you even fatter just dieting, since you have to consume huge amounts of calories. Plus steroids raise cholesterol levels, and this is gonna be even worse if you already have high% of fat.

Got it, so I need to reduce body fat what would be a good cutting cycle then given the specs above? Note at 47 its not easy to get lean even with diet and cardio.

It is not easy as you get older but you must have been eating sh1te for a long time ..... even though you have been lifting. You have dropped quite a bit of bodyfat in a short time by cleaning up your diet. Anyway get your stack together with PCT and aim to start in 3-6 months when you will look a lot better.

Tell the guys here what you can get hold of and your previous experience and we will offer our help!!

Also need to take into account that your BP will most likely skyrocket during bulking so watch the foods you eat, not too mention at a higher BF% the hormone itself normally will increase bad cholsterol and lower good cholesterol so it runs the risk of heart problems. These are just a few health problems being a higher BF% while cycling.

Can you recommend a diet number or calories, fats, carbs, etc. that will help over the next 6-months?

2 - Multiply by an activity factor using the Harris Benedict formula

2800 cals a day will keep me where I am if I do the same 5 days a week exercise program. Looks like I'll need to cut 500 cals a day to start losing. I'm eating 3000 now so that why its taking so long. Appreaciate the feedback!

No problem.. I find 90% of the time that people want to run a cycle to fix their problems, it is a result of a broken diet.

From the looks of your pic I can tell you know what your taking about, you don't get that lean without practice. Actually, I have similar muscularity on my upper body unfortunately its still covered in fat, I look thick but little definition. Hopefully hard work and a slight cal reduction will get it done.
