infection or irritation?
This is my first time running whinny depot and think my biceps may be infected... I did everything clean and have hit my delts 2x each with no probs, but I hit my left bicep for the first time 2 days ago and my entire bicep is flush and warm to the touch. I hit my right one yesterday and it is starting to do the same. I havent done anything today becuase I want to find out what it is... I dont have a fever and it is not really puffy, its just red so im thinking that the crystals in the win may have just irritated my biceps??
I have some Keflex on order just in case, but i attached a few pics to get some opinoins.... Thanks!

thats quite the spreading redness.
i would be careful with that, watch for any temperature changes or any signs of infection.
waiting on others opinions..

yeah bro its hard to say but i would take those antis just in case. it looks like it is swollen compared to your forarm. but that could be just the pic.

Looks like it could be cellulitis .. I would go to a doc ....
Cellulitis
Symptoms

Symptoms of cellulitis include tenderness, pain, swelling, and redness at the site of infection. If the infection spreads, you may have fever and chills, along with swollen lymph nodes . Occasionally, if cellulitis causes a high fever, you may have changes in mental function, such as confusion or sleepiness. Cellulitis can occur anywhere on the body, most often on the legs, face, or arms. Although the infection is not usually severe in adults, in some cases it can spread quickly, causing more intense symptoms.

Yea, thats just the angle of my forearm in the pic. My bicep is not swollen at all. Ill check on that Cellulitus. I just dont understand why it would happen in BOTH of my bi's but not in my delts? I am assuming that cellulitis is bacteria driven and I know that everything was clean... Have you heard of anyone having a reaction to the win crystals??

im under the impression that if your delt shots are fine your gear should be fine as well.
did you use the same vial for the delt shots as the bi shots?
if it was a different vial, the gear could be contaminated perhaps?
as said before, monitor it closely, dont take any chances.

yeah ive heard of gear in general irratating muscles but that looks like more than an irritation. i would go see the doc bro. none of us can tell you 100% what it is. good luck and let us know how everything turns out.

Same vial, but I did hit my delts before my bi's so Im hesitant to mess with that particular vial anymore... I would hop on some anti's right now but i ran out of amoxicillin and all I have on hand is some doxycycline. The Keflex wont be here for another 4 or 5 days, do you think the doxy would help? ...I know you guys arent antibiotic experts, but I thought Id ask...

Doxycycline is used to treat bacterial infections, including pneumonia and other respiratory tract infections; Lyme disease; acne; infections of skin, genital, and urinary systems; and anthrax (after inhalational exposure). It is also used to prevent malaria. Doxycycline is in a class of medications called tetracycline antibiotics. It works by preventing the growth and spread of bacteria. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.
found that off a medical site. so i figure by what it says then yes it should help out. but im not a doc but from my interpretation of it. it should help.

Infection or not ?
These clinical criteria should be met to determine on infected site:
Tumor (bigger), calor (hotter) and dolor(painful)

looks like an infection. I have had 3 of them. Tell me exactly what you are using to clean the area before injection. I would ONLY use alcohol swabs. make sure to wash your hands and always place everything on a very clean surface. I will put down a paper towel on the table, and never set the needles down anywhere without the cap on. If you want to PM me and talk about the lab, that might b interesting as well, since i thought it might have been the lab at first, but after changing to alcohol swabs, I have had no problems. I was using, cotton balls with alcohol on them.
